O! Those who say that it belongs to the teacher Light Protector are the Light Protector sect. Similarly, those who say that it belongs to the Lama are the Lama sect. Some of them say, "Beings will transfer from this world to another world," these are the ones who say transfer. Among these, the eight, such as the Mahasanghika mentioned earlier, and the later mentioned Sarvastivada, Mahayana, Dharmottara, and Light Protector, all say non-self, because the self and what belongs to the self, as conceived by the heretics, are empty, and all dharmas are also non-self. The remaining five sects, such as the Sthavira-putra, say that there is a person (pudgala), they say: The person cannot be described as being the same as or different from the aggregates, it can be known by the six consciousnesses, it is the one who transmigrates, and it is fully manifest. These are the divisions of the eighteen sects. Others say that the basis should be stated as before. There are three root divisions: the Sthavira, the Mahasanghika, and the Vibhajyavada. Among them, the Sthavira also has two types: the Sarvastivada and the Sthavira-putra sect. Furthermore, the Sarvastivada also has two types: the Sarvastivada and the Sautrantika. The Sthavira-putra also has four types: the Bahusruta, the Dharmottara, the Bhadrayaniya, and the Samkrantika. Thus, the Sthavira is divided into six types. In addition, the Mahasanghika has eight types: the Mahasanghika, the Purvasaila, the Aparasaila, the Rajagiriya, the Haimavata, the Chaityaka, the Uttarasiddhi, and the Gokulika. Thus, these are the divisions of the Mahasanghika. The Vibhajyavada also has four types: the Hetuvada, the Kasyapiya, the Dharmagupta, and the Mahisasaka. Thus, these are the eighteen sects that arose from the division of the noble sects. Still others say this: After the Blessed One passed away,

From then on, when one hundred and thirty-seven years had passed, when the beings such as the noble ones were gathered in the city of Pataliputra by the king named Delightful and Great Lotus, and when they had attained the object of coolness without taking anything, the elder Kashyapa, the elder Mahāroma, the great giver, the teacher, Revata, and so forth, the sangha of arhats who had attained perfect knowledge, were dwelling in that way, the evil one, the wicked one, became the adversary of all the virtuous ones, and by assuming the guise of a bhikṣu, he displayed various miracles, and by means of five points he created a great schism in the sangha, and he praised the five points of the elders called Nāga and the learned ones who were mindful. He proclaimed them, and in answering others, and in ignorance, and in doubt, and in thorough investigation, and in nourishing himself, he said, "This is the path, this is the teaching of the Buddha." Then they split into two factions and remained: the Sthaviras and the Mahāsāṃghikas. Thus, for sixty-three years, the sangha was divided and remained in conflict. Then, two hundred years later, the son of the Sthavira Sthaviramati compiled the doctrine correctly. When he had compiled it correctly, the Mahāsāṃghikas also became divided into two, namely, the Ekavyavahārikas and the Gokulikas. Among them, the root of the vows of the Ekavyavahārikas is that the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, are transcendent to the world, and the Tathagatas do not possess worldly dharmas. After all the Tathagatas have turned the wheel of dharma, speech does not enter. The speech of all the Tathagatas is manifestly inclined towards the essence. The Tathagatas do not take up form in that place. Bodhisattvas do not enter in the manner of wriggling, flickering, or swaying at the time of (entering the womb), but having become an elephant, they enter from the mother's side, and they themselves will certainly appear. Bodhisattvas do not have the perception of desire. In the lower realms, they take birth by their own will, and thus they bring beings to complete maturity.

With one wisdom, one fully knows the four truths. The six consciousnesses are with desire and without desire. The eye sees forms. Arhats also accomplish what is taught by others. There is ignorance, there is doubt, there is complete calculation, and there is also the path to eliminate suffering. There is also verbal action when in meditative equipoise. There is also abandoning impurity. By realizing the true discipline, it should be said that all connections are completely abandoned. The Tathagatas do not have worldly right view. The mind is naturally luminous, therefore, one should not say whether latent tendencies are in accordance with or not in accordance with the mind. Latent tendencies are different, and arising is also different. The past and the future do not exist. Stream-enterers are those who have attained meditation, such are the vows of those with the same designation. Furthermore, the distinctions of those who dwell in the cow pen are called the well-learned and the nominalists. Among them, the root vow of the well-learned is that there is no discrimination on the path of liberation. The truth of suffering, the conventional truth, and the noble truth are truths. By seeing the suffering of conditioning, one enters into the truly faultless, but not by seeing the suffering of suffering and the suffering of change. The Sangha is transcendent. Arhats also have the accomplishment of what is taught by others. There is also the path of truly proclaiming. There is also truly entering into meditative equipoise, these are the vows of the well-learned. Furthermore, the nominalists also have the suffering without aggregates. There are also unfulfilled sources of birth. Conditioned things are mutually dependent. Furthermore, suffering is ultimately real. Mental factors are not the path. There is no untimely death. There is no agent. All suffering arises from karma, such are the root vows of the nominalists. Furthermore,
