如同能消除一切地方因愚昧而致盲的良好眼药膏，能生起了知真如之光明眼，因此，善逝之语是吉祥的。因为是经部的支分，所以这是十二部经之一。对此的观察将在下文阐述。对此的注释也必须要做，因为意义非常深奥。佛陀的教言是极难理解的，即使是声闻中的佼佼者也不能如实地理解其意义。因为所说之内容极难理解，所以调伏的圣者近护等也会迷惑和愚昧。在此，想要撰写讽诵偈的意义的解释，首先会出现四种提问的方式：以何种方式开示？由谁开示？向谁开示？为何开示？你为何要经历如此撰写注释的巨大辛劳？因为如果不完全了解所说之事的体性，就不应该撰写对其的注释。没有导师，言语是不可能产生的，因为对言语的运用依赖于导师。对于殊胜导师的言语，即使没有好的意义，也会因喜悦而恭敬，因此以三种方式进行安置。如同对寿命的知识等进行开示，那么导师的殊胜之处是什么呢？回答是：将“身体由此产生”的说法紧密结合起来。如果变成了毫无关联的言语，即使是从外道的论典中摘取的言语极其优美，智者也不会接受，如同从不能砍伐的树干中取出蔗糖一样。即使依赖于特殊的论典，如果没有必要，也如同从金山顶端产生的毒药一样，是没有必要的。对于想要利益自己的人来说，没有特殊的意义。如果像这样有开示的必要和所要表达的内容，那么就一定会有关联和所要表达的内容。如果没有这些，那么这些也不会存在，因此没有将提问的词语分开。

Just as a good eye ointment that can eliminate blindness caused by ignorance in all places, it generates the bright eye of knowing suchness. Therefore, the words of the Sugata are auspicious. Because it is a branch of the scriptures, this is one of the twelve branches of the scriptures. The examination of this will be explained below. A commentary on this must also be made, because the meaning is very profound. The Buddha's teachings are extremely difficult to understand. Even the best of the Shravakas cannot understand the meaning as it is. Because what is said is extremely difficult to understand, even the supreme tamers like Nigupta will be confused and deluded. Here, wanting to write an explanation of the meaning of the collection of specially stated verses, four types of questions arise first: In what way is it shown? By whom is it shown? To whom is it shown? Why is it shown? Why do you undergo such great labor of writing a commentary? Because if the nature of what is said is not fully understood, one should not write a commentary on it. Words cannot arise without a teacher, because the application of words depends on the teacher. For the words of a special teacher, even if there is no good meaning, one will be respectful with joy, therefore it is placed closely in three ways. Just as when the knowledge of life, etc., is taught, what is the special quality of the teacher? The answer is: the statement "the body arises from this" is closely connected. If it becomes unrelated words, even if the words taken from the heretical scriptures are extremely beautiful, the wise will not accept them, just like extracting sugar cane from a trunk that cannot be cut. Even if it relies on a special scripture, if it is not necessary, it is like poison produced from the top of a golden mountain, it is unnecessary. For those who want to benefit themselves, there is no special meaning. If there is a need for teaching and what is to be expressed in this way, then there will definitely be a connection and what is to be expressed. If these are not there, then these will not exist either, therefore the words of the questions have not been separated.
