The distinctions are threefold. Among them, abandoning the afflictions other than desire is the realm of abandonment. Abandoning desire is the realm of detachment from desire. Abandoning the five aggregates of appropriation other than what was previously stated is the realm of cessation. The so-called distinction of abandoning the two truths is the distinction of abandoning suffering and its origin. The so-called distinction of the realm of having aggregates and the realm of no remainder of aggregates is also twofold. Among them, the so-called aggregates are the aggregates. Having the aggregates, that is, the remainder not exhausted, is having a remainder of aggregates. This can be said as follows: Having abandoned all afflictions, only the aggregates remain, that is its definition. That which is separated from the aggregates is the realm of nirvana without remainder of aggregates. That is both without aggregates and also a remainder, so it is a remainder without aggregates, that is, separated from the aggregates, only that remains, that is its definition. Regarding the term "without connection," individual connection is connection, that is, completely taking birth is its definition. For this, because there is no connection, it is non-connection. Non-connection itself is without connection. Cessation of birth is the cessation of birth. That is both without connection and also cessation of birth, so it is without connection, that is, cessation of birth. Because it is thus established, it is one, that is, the meaning of unique. This is to say that although there are many, in general, without connection is cessation of birth, so it is only one. Among them, exhaustion is non-arising. Detachment from desire is non-aging. Cessation is destroying diseases. Pacification is without death. Submergence is without separation from suffering, etc. Or, in terms of the distinction of taming, the latter words are explanations of the former. The sound of its synonyms, such as exhaustion and detachment from desire, etc., these all belong to minor synonyms, and as many as have been taught in other sutras. In order to teach that, it is said, "Thus it is said." The aggregates are not material

The remaining four are feeling, etc. The (eye faculty) which has form is a synonym for the form aggregate. Here, "This is the proposition" means saying "I have seen these five aggregates." "The venerable one" refers to completely grasping the five aggregates. "Monks, thus this is just a name," etc., shows the elimination of self. "Monks, all these dharmas are impermanent" because they have birth. "What is thrown by the mind" is because it is the result of karma. "Conditioned" is because it has characteristics. "Dependent arising" is because it arises from causes and conditions. "From impermanence," etc., and "The arising of suffering is also suffering" because in the past it arose from causes. "Dwelling" is because it dwells in birth, etc. "Manifest realization" is because it arises from the cause of the moment of connection. "Arising is also suffering" because it is constantly present. If this exists, then all the aggregates are individually abandoned and discarded, which is its synonym. If Nirvana is non-existent, why is it said to be permanent? Non-existence is not something else. It is said in the verse: What is permanent is Nirvana, what is impermanent is all conditioned dharmas, what is straight is the noble path, what is crooked is the view of sinners. Thus it is said, therefore Nirvana is established as permanent. Cessation through discrimination has been explained. Now, non-cessation through discrimination will be explained. What is other than that? Other than cessation through discrimination. What is other is cessation. Future dharmas are form, etc. What is extremely obstructive to birth is what is severed. Saying "future" is to show the elimination of the cessation of impermanence itself. Saying "constant" is to show the elimination of cessation and the absorption of non-perception and the cessation of birth. That is obtained by those who are certain to have the nature of not being born in the future. Cessation through discrimination can be obtained from all three times. Non-cessation through discrimination

Kya-ba (Tibetan transliteration) means "without prior consideration." "Because the conditions are not complete" means: there is no immediate condition. This is shown by analogy, for example, if one is distracted by the objects of the eye and mind, etc. "Eye and mind" is a synonym for "eye consciousness." "Not that" means: from that form becoming other, the immediately following one is not other. "The dharmas" refers to feelings, etc. Whatever focus is on form, etc., is focus on that. "Generating focused mind and mental factors" means: the object should be clearly grasped. "If they obtain it thereby" means: if non-selective cessation is obtained. "Not arising, that is, thereby they will cease" is a synonym for "becoming an obstacle." "His two feelings cease" means: here, the three feelings of pleasure, etc., are incompatible, so they will not manifest simultaneously. Among them, when the feeling of pleasure now arises, because non-selective cessation is obtained, the two feelings will cease. What will manifest? The meaning is like this. There are three kinds of cessation: cessation of impermanence, cessation of non-selection, and cessation of selection. Among them, the cessation of impermanence is for the dharmas that have arisen, arising and then decaying due to impermanence, but not for the dharmas that have not arisen. The cessation of selection is the cessation for all contaminated dharmas of the three times. Therefore, the non-selective cessation without those two should be taken here. The five aggregates of consciousness are merely non-selective cessation, but those five aggregates can also obtain non-selective cessation. As it is said: "This monk's hell beings are exhausted, animals are exhausted, hungry ghosts are exhausted." This refers to the perspective of one who has obtained forbearance and entered the stream. Because the desire for desire has not been cut off, it is not correct to say that he has not abandoned hell beings, etc., because his desire
