Concentration is the one-pointedness of mind. These arise in all grounds. Faith and diligence are extremely tamed, equanimity, sense of shame, conscientiousness, two roots of non-harming, diligence always arises in virtue. Among them, faith is the clarity of mind. Conscientiousness is the cultivation of virtuous dharmas, the meaning of cherishing them and constantly protecting them. Extremely tamed is the workability of mind. Equanimity is the equality of mind and the spontaneity of mind. Sense of shame and conscientiousness will be explained below. The two roots are non-attachment and non-hatred. Non-ignorance also exists, but that is wisdom, which is spoken of in many grounds. Non-harming is non-annoyance. Diligence is the arising of joy in the virtuous mind. These arise in all virtuous minds. Ignorance, carelessness, laziness, and, disbelief, drowsiness, and excitement, constantly arise in the afflicted. Among them, ignorance is not knowing and not being clear. Carelessness is not corresponding to conscientiousness. Laziness is the category that does not correspond to diligence. Disbelief is not corresponding to faith. Drowsiness is the mind not being tamed. Excitement is the mind not being tranquil, these arise in all afflicted minds. In the non-virtuous, there are shamelessness and, lack of shame. Their characteristics will be explained below. Wrath and, resentment and concealment, as well as flattery, jealousy, annoyance, stinginess, and, deceit, arrogance, and harm are, the grounds of minor afflictions. These are merely ignorance, and are to be abandoned by cultivation, and are only associated with the mind ground, therefore they are called the grounds of minor afflictions. The extensive explanation of these will be explained later. In a certain mind, how many mental factors necessarily arise, should be stated, briefly speaking, the mind that operates in the desire realm has five aspects, namely virtue and so on. Among them, in the virtuous mind of the desire realm, because of having investigation and analysis, twenty-two mental factors, ten of the many grounds and, ten of the virtuous many grounds, investigation and, analysis. In some, remorse is added, that

And whatever suffering arises from not doing good and doing evil, that is the remorse that focuses on evil deeds and the regret for good deeds. Whoever has these has twenty-three mental events arising. For non-virtue, there are the unmixed, and those with views also have twenty. The so-called unmixed is a mind that is purely mindfulness, in which there are ten pervasive mental factors, six root afflictions, two unwholesome pervasive mental factors, investigation and analysis. Those with unwholesome views also have twenty, only for those who are unmixed. Among the views, the unwholesome views, except for the view of the aggregates of destruction and the clinging to extremes, are the nature of wisdom, so they are not added. The four afflictions and anger, etc., and regret, total twenty-one. The four afflictions are desire, anger, pride, and doubt. Anger, etc., have already been explained. Regret is unwholesome, because it is the opposite of virtue. Whoever has these has twenty-one, because it is only by adding any one of these. Obscured has eighteen. In the desire realm, the mind that is obscured, corresponding to the view of the aggregates of destruction and the clinging to extremes, has eighteen mental events arising, namely the ten pervasive mental factors, the six root afflictions, investigation and analysis. Unspecified. It is considered to be twelve. For the unspecified mind that is not obscured, there are ten pervasive mental factors, investigation and analysis, totaling twelve. Sleep is not contradictory to all, so whoever has it, add it. Thus, the mental events that arise in the desire realm are definitely explained, from which regret, sleep, and non-virtue, etc., are not present in the first dhyana. In the first dhyana, as previously stated, regret and sleep, and any slight non-virtue, such as agitation, etc., are all absent, and all others are the same. Those that are absent in the first dhyana, and investigation, in special dhyana, where there is no analysis, the rest are the same. Now it comes from the scriptures
