Or, if an unwholesome mental transformation arises from the difference of conditions such as hearing non-virtuous teachings and improper attention, then another Vipaka will arise from that. Otherwise, it is not so, so it is the same. Just as another fruit does not arise from the fruit alone. What is it then? Just as it arises from the difference of transformation, another Vipaka does not arise from the Vipaka alone. What is it then? Because it arises from the difference of mental transformation, so it is the same. The thing called red stamen in the fruit refers to the stamen in the fruit that contains the sour juice of Ganbijapura. Nothing else arises from that. This is the metaphor here. Just as the red stamen of the fruit of the Madulunga flower dyed with indigo does not produce another red stamen again, so another Vipaka does not arise from the Vipaka produced by karma. Here it says: This mind arises continuously with infinite seeds. If that seed produces its own cause, then the mind will grow. If it gradually gains entry into growth, then it will give fruit in due time. Like the color applied to the Madulunga flower. It also says: Just as cotton seeds and Madulunga flowers, if dyed with indigo, even if it disappears, through the continuous order of impregnation, cotton and stamens will produce red. If the karma disappears, the impregnation will also produce its own fruit. The arising of karma and its impregnation. Its impregnation refers to the impregnation of karma. Gaining entry into that impregnation, fruit arises from gaining entry. These four, other than the Buddha, Sravakas and others cannot fully and thoroughly understand, because they think it is completely arbitrary. In fact, it is saying that only the Buddha can fully and thoroughly understand all of this. It appears so widely. The sound of saying like this is the meaning of complete perfection. If you see the scriptures of the non-self Dharma spoken by the Buddha, that is, you will be able to see.

The path is the way of reason, the path of logic. Therefore, it is pure because it is said that the path of reason is well-spoken. To speak well and beautifully is to speak well. The heretics are blind because they have not seen the truth. In "the blind, the various evil views that waver," evil view is a degraded view. It is both a bad view and a wavering one, which is the various evil views that waver. Those who have various evil views that waver, those are the various evil views that waver, that is, sentient beings who have various evil views that waver, do not enter the path of heaven and liberation, but enter the wrong path, this is a summary word. Non-blind people refer to the Samkhya and Owl schools of heretics, and those like them abandon and discard views, and go from samsara to nirvana. Who are the non-blind? They are those who have the eye of wisdom of the noble Shravakas. Or it is to practice the Dharma nature of the Sutra Pitaka, which is a summary word. The Dharma nature of the Sutra Pitaka here refers to selflessness, or following the teachings of the Buddha. Others say that the Sutra Pitaka refers to the scriptures, etc., which belong to the twelve divisions of the scriptures. Its Dharma nature is well-spoken because it has reason, and it is focused on nirvana because it proclaims nirvana. How does one focus on nirvana? In the perception of impermanence, one abides in the perception of selflessness, and in the perception of selflessness, one abides in the perception of the peace of nirvana, because there is no fear of it. In the perception of the peace of nirvana, the continuum is focused on it. Furthermore, perceiving the self as impermanent is inconsistent with existence, because one understands the faults and suddenness. Perceiving nirvana as peace is consistent with it, because one understands its definitive departure. As it is said, "These dharmas all focus on nirvana, tend towards nirvana, lead to nirvana, and when they are expressed, only nirvana is expressed." It is said like this.

Therefore, in that case, only those who are not blind can walk. The blind cannot. The blind, seeing no-self, wander in the ocean of samsara. To show that, the Tathagata is widely praised. The Tathagata himself is the sun, so the Tathagata is the sun. To reveal the profound Dharma, it is the sun. How is it revealed? Through the difference of antidotes, the difference of physical form, the difference of rays, and the difference of places. What is the difference of antidotes? The sun is able to completely destroy the external darkness that exists in the sky. But the Bhagavan destroys the internal darkness that has long resided in the mind. The sun is a crystal-natured form, burning by its very nature, so it is bright. And the Bhagavan is also bright because of his physical form, ten powers, and stainlessness, so the difference of physical form is like that. The sun pervades a thousand rays, and the Bhagavan also pervades a thousand rays of the sacred Dharma's speech, so the difference of rays is like that. The place of the sun is the four continents, and the place of the Tathagata is the three realms. Therefore, through a few similarities, the Dharma is the same, so the Tathagata is like the sun. Those words are the words of the Tathagata's sun. That itself is light, so the words of the Tathagata's sun are light. That which is illuminated by the light of the words of the Tathagata's sun is the word called "becoming enlightened." Nirvana itself is the city, so it is the city of Nirvana. That one path is the only path of the city of Nirvana, it is not another path, that is the meaning of the word. What is that? It is no-self. Because the noble ones travel through thousands of paths, it is traveled by thousands of noble paths. Even if separated, this one path of the no-self Nirvana city, illuminated by the light of the rays of the Tathagata's sun, even if separated, whether it is a heretic or a sect of the Sthavira school, because there is no clear eye of wisdom, or the eyes are covered by a film of ignorance.
