If one wishes to protect one's own precepts, and many others wish to protect their minds, without entrusting, and even if entrusted, entrusting it to someone else, and if it is an act that is harmful or not in accordance with the Dharma, and the other person is able to do it themselves, and it has a basis, then there is no fault. Regarding "sick person" and so on, not taking care of the sick is a fault-like Dharma because it is a falling away from taking care of the sick. When a Bodhisattva encounters a sentient being afflicted by illness, if they do not care for and attend to them out of anger or pride, it becomes a fault of affliction. Laziness and so on are not afflictive. If one is afflicted by a long-term illness and stays alone, there is no fault. The remaining ones should also be combined appropriately, like helping a friend. Regarding "suffering" and so on, "of" those who have become suffering is the remainder. Not relieving the suffering of others as has been shown is a fault-like Dharma because it is a falling away from relieving the suffering of others. When a Bodhisattva encounters a sentient being who is suffering, if they do not relieve that suffering out of pride or anger, but ignore and turn their back, it becomes a fault of affliction. Laziness and so on are not afflictive. There is no fault, just as in the immediate past. Regarding "negligence" and so on, not explaining the reasons as has been shown to the negligent is a fault-like Dharma because it is a falling away from explaining the reasons. If a Bodhisattva sees sentient beings who are not properly engaged in the benefit of this life and future lives, if they do not explain wisdom with a universally tormented mind, it becomes a fault of affliction. Laziness and so on are not afflictive. If one does not understand oneself and entrusts it to others, there is no fault. Regarding "done" and so on, "done" refers to others giving help. Therefore, giving help to them, thereby giving help again, that itself is repaying help. For those who do not give help, following along and not giving help again.
