So, the mind realm and the consciousness realm, as well as a portion of the dharma realm, are called "with conceptualization." This is because there are three types of conceptualization: natural conceptualization, recollection conceptualization, and definitive conceptualization. Among these, natural conceptualization refers to the eye consciousness perceiving form and merely recognizing it as form; the ear consciousness perceiving sound and merely recognizing it as sound. Recollection conceptualization refers to not forgetting what was previously seen, heard, etc., and the memory not diminishing. Definitive conceptualization refers to, among the objects of the three realms and three times, some being seen directly by the eyes, and some, although not seen directly by the eyes, being heard by the ears, etc., distinguishing "this is, this is not" through the difference of wisdom and thought; this conceptualization is called definitive conceptualization. Therefore, the *Abhidharmasamuccaya* also says, "What is recollection conceptualization? It is that which holds the formations previously experienced." "What is definitive conceptualization? It is the various conceptualizations that conceptualize past, future, and present objects without directly perceiving them." Just as a chair with only one leg cannot be called a chair if it does not have the other three legs, so too, although there is natural conceptualization, if there are not the two conceptualizations of recollection and definitive conceptualization, it is called non-conceptualization. Therefore, the mind realm, the consciousness realm, and a portion of the dharma realm, which are the natures born from the mind, are called "with conceptualization" because they possess the two conceptualizations of recollection and definitive conceptualization. Although not explicitly stated in the scriptures, the remaining realms are established as non-conceptual. What are these realms? They are the five faculties from the eye realm to the body realm, the five objects from form to touch, and the five consciousnesses from the eye consciousness realm to the body consciousness realm, totaling fifteen, and a portion of the dharma realm, which are the non-mind-born dharmas, are established as non-conceptual. As for "how many are included?" Since this is the occasion for explaining the eighteen realms, among the eighteen realms, how many realms are included?

It means "to exist." Among them, that which is related to mind and mental factors, or the form that is grasped by mind and mental factors, is called "grasped." "The inner five" refers to the fact that the inner five faculties are called "grasped," and what are they? Namely, the eye element, the ear element, the nose element, the tongue element, and the body element. Why are the five, such as the eye, said to be merely "grasped"? It is to show that there are other "grasped" besides these. The four aspects, namely form, smell, taste, and touch, are mentioned because these four, form, smell, taste, and touch, have two aspects, namely grasped and ungrasped. Among them, the aspects of form, smell, taste, and touch that are grasped are called "grasped." What are they? Namely, the form, smell, taste, and touch that are not different from the eye and other faculties, and that exist together with the eye and other faculties, just as the faculties, mind, and mental factors are grasped, these four aspects that exist in the faculties are also held by mind and mental factors, so they are called "grasped." For example, the form and so on that exist in the body, except for the roots of hair, body hair, nails, and teeth, the other hair, body hair, nails, excrement, urine, saliva, mucus, blood, and so on are called "ungrasped." The meaning of "grasped" is that mind and mental factors hold it as if saying, "This is my realm," and the body and mind are also related to each other by helping and harming each other, that is, if the body benefits, the mind also benefits; if the mind benefits, the body also benefits; if the body is harmed, the mind is also harmed; if the mind is harmed, the body is also harmed, this is called "grasped." "How many are ungrasped" refers to the meaning of how many of the eighteen elements are ungrasped. The remaining nine and the four aspects refer to the fact that the form, smell, taste, and touch that exist together with the five faculties are said to be grasped, the remaining seven mind elements, the dharma element, and the sound element, these nine are also called ungrasped. "The four aspects, namely the eye"
