Nga. It is through the distinction of great categories. All the dharmas included in generosity and other perfections are also dharmas of the aspect of enlightenment, because they are in accordance with the attainment of enlightenment, they should be known as the aspect of enlightenment. In the world, whatever is in accordance with something is called its aspect. Why is that? Because it is to show the meaning of those who have doubts about what cause and what condition are called the basis of the three dharmas such as lineage, by two aspects. Therefore, it is said, "Why is that?" In this way, they will cause the latter to arise from the former, and in order to perfect the complete enlightenment, the meaning of the basis is shown. In this way, these will become the cause of the accumulation of enlightenment attained through direct perception and one-to-one transmission, and because they become the cause, they become the cause of the basis that is shown. Relying on and dwelling in lineage means to show that meaning itself and to dwell completely, that is, the meaning of having lineage. In order to show those who have fortune, it is said to have power. Also, those who have fortune means to generate the mind for the true meaning here. For those who do not have that lineage, there is no generation of mind as it is. In order to show that generating the mind will be combined with generosity and so on, and thus obtain the name of perfection, but not generating the mind, therefore, it is said to rely on generating the mind. Both of these are the basis for becoming the basis for arising from above. In order to show that only by generating the mind and combining with generosity and so on, one can obtain the name called perfection, therefore, it is said to be the six perfections. In order to show how these six perfections are reasonably the accumulation of merit and the accumulation of wisdom, it is said to be the accumulation of merit and the accumulation of wisdom. Among them, the perfection of generosity, the perfection of discipline, and the perfection of patience.

The three perfections, namely generosity, ethical discipline, and patience, are the accumulation of merit because they are the fruits of my possessions, enjoyments, and retinue being complete. The perfection of meditation and the perfection of wisdom are the accumulation of wisdom because they are what separate the fruit. The perfection of diligence is both aspects. "All the dharmas of the aspect of enlightenment" means all teachings other than the perfections, such as the objects of collection, and all teachings other than the teachings of the perfections. Why is it said, "in order to completely perfect complete and perfect enlightenment"? Why not say, "will be attained"? It should be understood that the meaning is the same, because the terms "completely perfect," "will be attained," "will be touched," and "will be manifested" have the same meaning. The use of words is according to desire, so the meaning should be fully investigated. Alternatively, it is also to show that it will be gradually attained. The previously taught abandonments, wisdom, complete and perfect enlightenment, and unmixed Buddha-dharmas cannot be attained at the same time, because on each ground, abandonment and special wisdom are combined. This is also taught in three ways: belonging to the skin, belonging to the flesh, and belonging to the essence. Among these, first, the abandonment belongs to the skin, then to the flesh, and finally to the essence. The nature of the unmixed Buddha-dharmas will also be taught as the nature of the distinction of the aggregates of form and name, which is enlightenment. Both of these are taken from the first ground, and distinctions are obtained on each ground. Therefore, the praise: Complete and perfect enlightenment, without remainder, appears as if entrusted to you, like the images of the moon and stars appearing in a clear, stainless lake. Also, the teacher Rāhula Guṇabhadra said: The Tathāgata here on the second ground, declares that the ten powers have been obtained, the four fearlessnesses

It is also obtained. In the third place, it is said very clearly. This is how it is taught. The treatises such as "not abiding in lineage" show that abiding in lineage itself is the fundamental basis, because it is the basis itself without depending on other bases. If there is no lineage, even if those exist, there is no so-called basis. Even if those others do not exist, lineage will become the basis itself. Even if bodhicitta arises and union is practiced, if there is no lineage, there is no basis, because even with bodhicitta and union without lineage, the meaning as it is cannot be obtained, just as action can refine an object, but not without sweat. Thus, it is certain that one is extremely without fortune. If there is lineage, even if there is no bodhicitta and union, those who have fortune will completely perfect the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment in a long period of time. Therefore, whether bodhicitta is generated or not, lineage itself is always called the basis.
