Becoming an obstacle are afflictions and near afflictions, as well as the works of demons, etc., from which one correctly cultivates the mind. Constant practice is with regard to that very means, what is constant practice? It is not abandoning diligence. Mindfulness is after obtaining faith, guarding one's mind from the Dharma of obstacles that one desires to definitely emerge from, and constantly striving to cultivate virtuous Dharma. Means are to properly apply oneself to the scriptures and recitations, as well as inquiries and related discussions. Attention is to fully understand the Dharma and meaning as taught and heard. Memory is not forgetting the meaning that has been fully examined, and also being able to remember what was done and said a long time ago. Discrimination is relying on the Dharma and meaning itself, discriminating with the intention of wanting to escape, etc. Wisdom is the wisdom that arises from supramundane means. Insight is supramundane wisdom. Obtaining insight is following supramundane wisdom, and then obtaining mundane wisdom. Investigation is with the attention of investigation, individually examining what has been abandoned and not abandoned, as well as what remains and what is completely gone. Pure conduct is the eightfold noble path, and abandoning the Dharma of non-pure conduct, which is sexual desire. The remaining thirty-seven factors of enlightenment lead to all pure conduct, because those are also its nature, and because they are a part of it, they are gathered together by calm abiding and insight, and the mindfulness belonging to the body, and the three places respectively. Among these, faith and memory are a part of both. Among these, the teacher is called supreme because of accomplishing his own benefit. He is called the chief because of accomplishing the benefit of others. He is called especially superior because of accomplishing the benefit of both. He is called the lama because of subduing all non-Buddhists. He is called unsurpassed because of subduing hearers and solitary Buddhas. To subdue non-Buddhists and...

It is called unequal because of completely awakening to the incomparable Dharma. It is called unequal and equal because of completely awakening to the Dharma that is not common to Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. Another name is supreme because it is common to all the perfections of worldly virtue. It is principal because it is common to all the perfections of virtue of the Shravakas. It is especially superior because it is common to all the perfections of virtue of the Pratyekabuddhas. It is supreme because of the complete purification of the afflictive obscurations. It is unsurpassed because of the complete purification of the obscurations to knowledge. Another name is supreme because of the perfection of virtue practiced in the desire realm. It is principal because of the perfection of virtue practiced in the form realm. It is especially superior because of the perfection of virtue practiced in the formless realm. Completely transcending all three realms, it is the perfection of virtue that transcends the world, hence it is supreme. Completely transcending all Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, it is the perfection of virtue, hence it is unsurpassed. Footless beings are, for example, snakes and so on. Two-legged beings are, for example, humans and so on. Four-legged beings are, for example, elephants and so on. Many-legged beings are, for example, centipedes and so on. Beings with form are, from the desire realm up to the fourth dhyana. Beings without form are, from the sphere of infinite space up to the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception. Sentient beings with perception are, except for the unconscious beings, from the desire realm up to the sphere of nothingness. Unconscious beings are, the gods of unconsciousness. Beings of neither perception nor non-perception are, the gods who approach the state of neither perception nor non-perception. In short, in these ways, the Tathagata is completely unmoving, and the supreme three aspects through body, speech, and mind.
