That is, up to the Arhat. The classification of those individuals is as follows: as stated in the Hearer's Ground. The classification of examination is that the speaker should examine the person thoroughly before speaking about them, such as whether this person is loving and respectful to me, etc., which should be known extensively as stated in the sutras. Regarding the person to be discussed, the speaker should also be examined in this way: Alas, is this person ignorant and foolish, not in accordance with the Dharma, speaking about others and slandering themselves, and harming others, etc., which should be exactly as stated in the sutras. Or, is this person wise, clear, speaking about others in accordance with the Dharma, praising themselves and not harming others, etc., the white Dharma aspect should also be known extensively as stated in the sutras. Therefore, it should be examined whether this person is suitable for discussion. If it has been thoroughly examined, whether to distinguish or not distinguish the situation, it is through the classification of examination to fully understand the other person. What is the acquisition of property that should be fully understood? The acquisition of property should be briefly understood in three ways: acquiring the property obtained by oneself and others, acquiring the property recovered from downfall, and acquiring the property of expelling those who break the precepts for the sake of the Sangha's well-being. Among them, what is lawful in the acquired property is correct. What is lawful and necessary is: not for the sake of many vessels and utensils, that is meaningful. What exceeds the limit for enjoyment is timely. It is also lawful to correctly show the acquired property to other monks, which is directional. Being directional will not lead to the division of the Sangha, which is inseparable from the division of the Sangha. With these five conditions, the acquired property should be correctly acquired, and then enjoyed with mindfulness and an undefiled mind, so that his acquisition of property has no fault. The acquisition of property recovered from downfall is the same as this.

That which is particularly practiced as a transgression is indeed correct. Whatever is known as, "I can take this from a place of non-virtue and abide in a place of virtue," that is meaningful. Others who speak Dharma, or attend to a lama, or care for the sick, etc., whatever is not spoken of during the time of work, that should be known as being timely. If other monks become friends to that speaking, that is with partiality. If that basis does not become a schism in the Sangha, that is the fifth completely pure one. Therefore, by making mindfulness close in that way, that which obstructs is itself an object of harm in this life, and that substance should be taken with gentleness. Just as a substance recovered from a transgression is taken, likewise, for the sake of happiness, the substance of one who has abandoned discipline should also be understood accordingly. There is a distinction in that: if that which is expelled causes an interruption to the life of the one who expels, or harms the monastery of the Sangha, or harms a stupa, or harms other practitioners of similar pure conduct, that is meaningful here, and the opposite of that should be known as meaningless. What should be fully understood as harm? These five are those that are harmed in this life, completely abandoned by the noble ones who should be traversed, like the conduct of the mad by those who are not mad; they are deceptive and no meaning will increase. What are the five? Those who mourn after death, when mourning after death, one torments oneself in many ways, that is the first increase of harm in this life. Furthermore, those who are attached and miserly, overwhelmed by the stain of miserliness, even though they have the necessities of life, do not allow the great assembly to live, that is the second increase of harm in this life. What is the stain of miserliness? There are eight stains of miserliness: the stain of miserliness of being accustomed to miserliness in the past and not accustomed to giving; and in this life, greatly valuing the body and life, and friends who share that fate.
