In dependence, it is said, "The limit of things, and the needs are completely fulfilled," because it abandons those two, and it is the nature of wisdom. Therefore, it is said that the object of the path of uniting calm abiding and insight is the ultimate result. Having determined the nature of the path of calm abiding and insight, and the cause of union, in order to show how the Bodhisattva seeks calm abiding everywhere, and how to be skilled in insight, the Blessed One said, "Bodhisattva, relying on and abiding in those four objects of calm abiding and insight, how does one diligently seek calm abiding, and how is one skilled in insight?" With this, he asked for the attainment of the two. Calm abiding is the nature of taming the mind, therefore the Bodhisattva should diligently seek it. Insight is the nature of distinguishing the Dharma well, therefore one should be skilled in it. To show this meaning, the words of Maitreya and others are spoken. The so-called "Dharma establishment and arrangement" is a general statement, with the establishment of the accumulation of names, the accumulation of sentences, and the accumulation of letters, the Dharmas are generally arranged. The Sutra Pitaka and others are specific statements. To ask how the general and specific statements of the Sutra Pitaka and others become the cause of the union of calm abiding, that is, after listening well, receiving well, reciting fluently, thinking well with the mind, and understanding extremely with sight, therefore the words "He dwells alone in a quiet place" and others are spoken. The so-called "alone" is because the body is separated. The so-called "quiet" is because the mind is separated. To show with what mind one attends to those Dharmas, that mind is also the nature of the Dharma, and all Dharmas are also the nature of the mind, therefore the words "Thus entering that place, abiding there often" and others are spoken. The body is extremely tamed, which is born from the separation of the body. The mind is extremely tamed, which is born from the separation of the mind. Or, as mentioned before, after obtaining the antidote Dharma, by practicing, the afflictions to be abandoned are weakened.

Ra. The body is extremely tamed. Because it alleviates the afflictions to be abandoned through seeing. The mind is extremely tamed, because the body has no fatigue, and the mind has no suffering at all, so the extreme taming of body and mind is called stillness. Like this, with "then" etc., the Bodhisattva can completely seek stillness only through proper attention to the Dharma, and it is determined that it is not through other means. Again, in order to show that the Bodhisattva is skilled in insight, therefore it is said "that the body is extremely tamed" etc. That "that" word, should be connected with the Bodhisattva, the Bodhisattva abides and relies on obtaining the extremely tamed body and the extremely tamed mind. How the Dharma is contemplated, is the non-inverted proper attention. That "those" refers to those mentioned earlier. "Inwardly" means not becoming outward. For the objects of practice through Samadhi, abiding in the image, becoming the image of the mind, to separately know the Dharmas is to thoroughly distinguish. Faith is to determine. In the stage of realization, how can the Dharmas without characteristics be combined with the mind with characteristics, and be separately observed and believed? Therefore, it is said "abandoning the appearance of the mind" etc., because the appearance of the mind is a reversed appearance. However, Samadhi and wisdom are not those of many grounds, so they are constantly associated with the mind, so if there is no appearance of the mind, how can these two turn? Like this, stillness is Samadhi, and insight is wisdom, if there are not these two, how can the Dharmas be separately observed as images of the mind? To this the Yogacara practitioner says, whether it is the mind, whether it is Samadhi, whether it is wisdom, whether it is those Dharmas, all those, in the stage of realization, because they are not transformed from outside the mind, so like the mind, they are all without self-nature. The selflessness of the mind, is the mind's no-mindness, that

It is said in the scripture that from the Prajñāpāramitā, the mind is no-mind, and the nature of the mind is luminosity. Therefore, it is said, "completely abandoning with the mind." "The image of the realm of Samadhi" refers to those that have not turned outward from the mind. "To those" refers to those themselves. "The meaning of what is to be known" refers to the meaning of non-duality. "Discrimination" refers to realization. "Good discrimination" and so on, it is said that it is the word of excellent synonyms. "Patience" refers to the unwavering thought of the unspeakable, non-dual meaning of the Dharma, without weariness. That is called Vipassanā, and the reason for saying Vipassanā is to decompose the Dharmas that have the characteristics of self and commonality. Viewing is Vipassanā. Like that and so on, the Bodhisattva is like that. It is determined that Vipassanā is proficient, not others. After determining the attainment of Śamatha and Vipassanā, in order to inquire about the method of attainment, the Bhagavan Bodhisattva asked, "Until when" and so on. "Focused on the mind" refers to showing focus on the sign. "Inwardly" means to contemplate without turning outward. Not obtaining extreme pliancy of body and mind is in the stage of application. If asked what that contemplation is, the answer is that it is not Śamatha. That is said to be in accordance with the intention and similarity of following Śamatha, because it is the method of obtaining Śamatha. The Bhagavan Bodhisattva "Until when" and so on. "Not obtaining extreme pliancy of body and mind" means that body and mind are not suitable for work. Those Dharmas that are well thought out, the image of the realm of Samadhi is contemplated inwardly, because the application has not reached the ultimate. If asked what that contemplation is, the answer is that it is not Vipassanā, because it is the method of obtaining Vipassanā. From here on
