The result of the perfection of generosity is inexhaustible virtue through complete dedication to enlightenment. The result of the perfection of aspiration is the uninterrupted continuation of virtue. The result of the perfection of strength is the definite discernment of virtuous dharmas. The result of the perfection of wisdom is enjoying the Dharma and completely maturing sentient beings. Regarding what is called the obscuration of the wealthy and the lord, the wealthy are those with many possessions and resources. The lord is the one who has power over those resources. The obscuration for both of these is the obscuration of the perfection of generosity, because it is its result. What is that? It is miserliness. Regarding what is called the obscuration of the happy realms, those who go beautifully are the happy realms, namely humans and gods. The obscuration for that is the obscuration of the perfection of discipline, because it is its result. That is immoral discipline, evil actions of body and speech. What is called not abandoning sentient beings is holding sentient beings, even those who harm them, as if they were benefiting them. That is also the result of the perfection of patience. Its obscuration is anger. Regarding what is called decreasing and increasing faults and qualities, abandoning those who have engaged deeply in harming oneself and others, and not creating those who have not yet arisen, is decreasing faults. Causing those who have engaged in benefiting oneself and others to return and arise, and creating those who have not yet arisen, is increasing qualities. What is the obscuration for this? It is laziness. Regarding what is called the obscuration of introducing discipline, introducing discipline is introducing the teachings, because it is promising to obtain high status and liberation. Respect arises from near peace, speaking of all sentient beings, and understanding that the teachings do not need to be obscured by miracles. The obscuration for this is distraction. Regarding what is called the obscuration of causing liberation, causing liberation is abandoning afflictions, and that also changes according to the teachings. Following the teachings is through wisdom, not through others. Therefore, the result of the perfection of wisdom is causing liberation. Its obscuration is afflicted wisdom, or ignorance, or immoral wisdom.
