It is appropriate. In what is called the "collection of branches of diligence," diligence means being skilled and constant. Its branches are right view and so on. The verse called "Gold Hammered" shows how the Mahayana Dharma functions in five ways through five metaphors: to be proven, to be specifically known, to be thought about, to be inconceivable, and to be fully accomplished. Each of these meanings is to be understood individually, as well as the nature that is in accordance with the aspects of enlightenment. This explains the five objects of the Mahayana, the three natures, and the establishment of individuals in three ways. So, what are the five objects? Name, reason, conceptualization, suchness, and non-conceptual wisdom. Among these, name is the nature of expressing convention, designation, and manifestation. That is, how the world manifests these dharmas through names, they exist in the same way as their nature. Through name, there is an attachment to the manifestation of all dharmas. Whatever is manifested by name does not actually exist. As the Bhagavan said: By what and what is name, By what and what is Dharma spoken, That is not in that, This is the Dharma nature of all dharmas. It is like this. For those who have an attachment to the nature of dharmas through name, whatever is manifested by name does not actually exist in its nature. This is difficult to understand, so it is to be proven. In accordance with this, it is like hammering gold. For example, through great efforts such as burning, water striking, and hammering, gold is made pliable. When hammered into ornaments and the like, it becomes very beautiful. Similarly, for those who have an attachment to the nature through name, whatever is manifested by name does not actually exist in its nature. By establishing one's own view and refuting others' views, it is proven. Just like hammering gold, it generates great joy, so it is called proven. Reason means not relying on anything,

The name of the self-nature that is expressed is the aspect of grasping the essence of the power of other objects of dependence. That object is also the self-awareness of mere appearance arising from interdependence. That is only to be known individually. Since there is no mistaken understanding of the wondrous world in that self-awareness, it is only to be known individually. An example that agrees with this is the lotus. For example, just as a lotus that blooms without effort by the rays of the sun generates supreme joy, so too, understanding the object of interdependence without effort also generates supreme joy, and thus it is said to be known individually. Discrimination is the very object of interdependence itself, which arises greatly in the aspect of grasping arising from mind and mental factors. Proper attention, arising from the cause of listening to the holy Dharma, is to be contemplated by me. As it is said in the Abhidharma-samuccaya, when one is extremely diligent in the Dharma and examines the dharmas, by how many reasons does one examine? That is, by four reasons: the reason of dependence, the reason of action, the reason of proof, and the reason of the nature of Dharma. If one properly contemplates with these four reasons, one will abandon all defilements, become purified, and also become harmonious, as it is said. An example that agrees with this is well-prepared food. For example, just as well-prepared food, complete with color and taste, generates supreme joy when eaten by those afflicted by hunger, so too, this Mahayana Dharma, like nectar, when examined by those who are hungry from listening to the holy Dharma and who properly contemplate, generates supreme joy, and thus it is said to be contemplated. Suchness is inconceivable, for it is completely beyond the realm of thought and is to be known by each individual for themselves. As it is said in the Mahayana-samgraha, the Dharmakaya is the nature of inconceivability, as it is said. That completely pure Suchness has no example in the world and is not an object of speculation, and thus it is to be known by each individual for themselves.
