Just like opening a grand door, explaining the Dharma here also generates supreme joy. These verses, through metaphors, elaborate on the meaning of the Dharma in five ways: what is to be proven, what is to be understood in detail, what is to be contemplated, what is inconceivable, and what is fully accomplished. Each is to be understood through one's own wisdom, its essence being in accordance with the aspects of the path to enlightenment. If explained using the Ornament of the Sutras, it is like refining gold. If elucidated by the Ornament of the Sutras, it generates supreme joy. When the Dharma itself possesses qualities, in order to dispel the question of "how to adorn it," the third verse says: A beautiful form, inherently possessing qualities, when reflected in a mirror, brings great joy to people through sight. Similarly, well-spoken words, always possessing qualities, the Dharma, through the explanation of its meaning, generates supreme joy in the wise. What does this indicate? For example, a beautiful form, inherently possessing qualities, when reflected in a mirror, brings great joy through sight. Similarly, the Dharma of well-spoken words, always possessing qualities, through the explanation of its meaning, generates special joy in the wise. Therefore, in order to generate special joy, it becomes like an ornament. Following that, three verses express reverence for the Dharma, thereby demonstrating three benefits: Just like a medicine that is comfortable to hold and sweet to taste, the Dharma is also like that, existing in two aspects, namely words and meaning, which need to be understood. This profound, vast, and deep Dharma, is as difficult to please as a king, but if one can please it, it will, like a king, bestow wealth with the best qualities. Precious and valuable jewels are not liked by those who do not recognize their worth. Similarly, those who are not proficient in the Dharma, if they contradict it, will not be pleased. Among these three benefits, the metaphor of felt is the cause of eliminating obstacles. The so-called "existing in two aspects" refers to existing in the two aspects of words and meaning. The metaphor of the king is the cause of power and wealth.

It is also the same. Because it can bestow freedom with special qualities such as supernatural powers. For example, with a priceless treasure that has a precious lineage, this is the cause of enjoying the wealth of the noble ones. A person who knows this should be known as a noble being. The first chapter is complete. Some people say that the Mahayana is not the word of the Buddha, so how can there be such benefits? In order to prove to those who have gone astray that this is the word of the Buddha, starting from the distinction of reasoning, it is written in verses: Not predicted before, arising together, non-object and established, existence and non-existence then existence and non-existence, antidote and different sound. Not predicted before, means that if someone later creates this in order to hinder the Dharma, why not predict it in advance like future fears? Arising together, means that the Mahayana refers to arising at the same time as the Hearer Vehicle, if it is not later, how do you know that this is not the word of the Buddha? Non-object, means that such a deep and vast Dharma is not the object of logicians, because there is no such son in the heretical scriptures. Even if it can be said, it is not convinced, so it is said that this is said by others, which is also not possible. Established, means that if another person says after realizing complete enlightenment, then it is established that this is the word of the Buddha, because whoever realizes complete enlightenment and proclaims it in this way, that person is the Buddha. Existence and non-existence then existence and non-existence, means that if there is a little Mahayana, then it exists, and it is established that this is the word of the Buddha, because there is no other Mahayana. If it does not exist, then it does not exist, and the Hearer Vehicle does not exist either, so it is said that the Hearer Vehicle is the word of the Buddha, and the Mahayana is not, which is also not possible, because without the Buddha Vehicle, the Buddhas will not appear. Antidote, means that practicing the Mahayana can
