By faults such as shortness, one does not understand the true principle. Thus it is said. By practices such as celibacy, why does one cause the body to fall? From true knowledge, they are liberated, and there is no torment for them. Thus it is said. That is, if by meditating on impermanence, suffering, impurity, and emptiness, the aversion to desire becomes a yoga inseparable from duality, then at that time there is no attachment to self and miserliness, and there is no object that harms others. How can one become a thief, drink alcohol, and lament over the lack of others? How can one commit the sin of killing? How can the aversion to desire, celibacy, be tormented again? However, by uttering the very letter syllable of that reality, since one has entered into it, why would one not be free from desire? If suffering arises in samsara from attachment to self, how can one be liberated until one is free from attachment? Therefore, having fully understood the selflessness of phenomena and individuals, one will ultimately become omniscient. Such is the wisdom of the Buddha. The Blessed One allowed meat that is completely pure on three sides, but there is neither allowance nor prohibition. How is it? It is said that meat that is completely pure on three sides is rare. For the compassionate Bodhisattva, this is also prohibited in this sutra. For mantra practitioners, because meat eaters cause obstacles and harm, it is specifically prohibited. For diseases such as wind, ghee and oil, sesame and sesame oil, and what is made from wheat, etc., are the remedies. Therefore, the compassionate one does not eat impure and pure meat.

This is the nature of Dharma. Those who engage in Samadhi with and without appearances, in order to eliminate the obscurations of knowledge, the obscurations of afflictions, and the obscurations of karma, how could they be hungry? Like those who abide in absorption in cessation, the root of sustenance through Samadhi abides at all times. Those who are supremely pure, free from desire, all-knowing, and the root of yoga of various forms, those who are nourished by the nectar of the taste of Samadhi, how could they taste the flavors of old, impure flesh and the like? Making all sentient beings content, in the Tathagatagarbha, with various skillful means of Bodhicitta, severing the cause of mind, teaching the eternal, dual, and non-dual Dharma with various skillful means, and the ultimate truth of existence and non-existence, the collection of qualities like the wish-fulfilling jewel, and the cause and effect arising from the grounds and Paramitas, the arising of many qualities such as the ten powers and fearlessness, and those who possess qualities such as the collection of special minds and the speech of the mandala of sound, and vast miracles, destroying all great darkness with the splendor of wisdom, making it extremely bright, destroying cataracts and dizziness, all the all-knowing ones who illuminate all the worlds with the qualities of the sun, those who are supremely pure, free from desire, all-knowing, and the root of yoga, those Buddhas, the Bhagavat, thus engage in completely saving all sentient beings from suffering. Some offering-makers think that the self-born one himself made the offerings for the sake of offering, this should be examined here: if he is free from desire, then he does it for the sake of play, what need is there for causing suffering to others? However, if he is indeed free from desire, then he is defiled by inner desire, becoming various kinds of suffering, who caused this lack of understanding? Therefore, nothing is done by anyone, like a gold mine, the downfalls of sentient beings are naturally pure. How so?

If so, then for the self and other's continuous dominion, and the ignorance of not abiding equally, if one is separated from the suddenly arising defilements of duality, one will become a pure Buddha. Those pure thoughts completely save the suffering of others and bestow fearlessness, completely entering into everything. Those who have entered the teachings, if they completely abandon all craving for taste, what need is there to say about being attached to the taste of meat that harms sentient beings? Food should be like medicine, not for the sake of deliciousness, fullness, and arrogance. For the wise, as long as there is no sin, it is permissible only for the sake of nourishing the body. For the diligent ones, this is especially true. Among the begged food, if it falls and is given by the householder, like rice porridge, that is their main food. Is it that one obtains food by harming others like a robber? Or, does one accept without discernment, and then the diligent ones appear and leave? If it becomes a sin through transmission, then it will also become a sin for the guest. If the guest does not go this way, then how can one accept like not giving to a barbarian? If it is not produced, then how can one kill? Therefore, it will also become a sin for the parents. Therefore, entering into benefiting others with a completely pure intention, if one begs, then there is merit in everything, it is the merit of duality. Therefore, the all-knowing one, considering the harm to others, therefore said that eating meat and urging others to eat meat is a sin. From the prohibition of the three edges, one should not do evil, the completely pure three edges are: I did not kill, did not have someone kill, and had no expectation. Like that, like rice porridge, food that was not begged, given without thinking, is completely pure, like medicine it is auspicious food. For the compassionate Bodhisattva, that is also prohibited. For the mantra practitioner, this is special, in order to please sentient beings and to make the deities manifest and rejoice. Therefore, if one completely abandons attachment to tasting the flavors of all realms, that is the end. Buddhas, Bodhi beings, distinguish without demonic obstacles, place like gold, manifest.
