Now is not the time to dwell. Furthermore, conditioned phenomena arise after the previous one ceases, gradually decaying and perishing. One should know that this is the nature of change. To be disgusted and extremely weary of all conditioned phenomena is the second benefit of showing disgust and extreme weariness. This very sutra expresses this meaning. Having become disgusted and extremely weary, one turns away from sins. Not doing any sinful deeds, and diligently relying on virtuous dharmas, this is the third benefit of showing turning away from sins and practicing virtue. This very sutra expresses this meaning. Relying on virtue, for those ungenerated roots of virtue, one generates them. For those obscurations that are not completely purified, one also completely purifies them. For those continuums that are not completely ripened, one also completely ripens them. Therefore, due to these causes and conditions, one should cultivate faith extensively, and also accumulate the two accumulations of merit and wisdom. This is the fourth benefit of showing the five perfect things. The detailed explanation of the five things should be understood as explained earlier above. Although these changes occur from generating these roots of virtue up to accumulating the two accumulations of merit and wisdom. However, because one does not understand the selflessness of the nature of birth, and the selflessness of the characteristic and the ultimate selflessness, these two as they truly are, from this point onwards is the second, starting from the state of union etc., showing the subsequent selflessness of nature. This can also be divided into three: showing the intention of proclaiming the teachings, and the Tathagata's explanation of faith as it truly is, saying "from then on," and the benefits of the teachings spoken after they heard this Dharma, this is the first. The first can also be divided into two: showing the non-understanding of the two selflessnesses of nature, and showing the faults of not understanding selflessness, this is the first. Just like this, sentient beings towards all dharmas
