What is meant by "what I have taught are the noble truths of suffering" is the fourth explanation of the suchness of the truth of suffering. This suchness also has two meanings. Like this, is it the thusness of the truth of suffering? Or, the truth of suffering is established from the cause of the truth of origin, therefore it is called abiding. Or, all four truths are established, because the truth of suffering is mentioned first, it obtains the name of abiding. The explanation of the treatises and the *Yogācārabhūmi* actually show abiding. In the *Saṃdhinirmocana Sūtra*, it appears as manifest clinging, because it has become the place of clinging to self and what belongs to self. In the *Eighteen Emptinesses Treatise*, it appears as abiding, because it has become the abiding place of sentient beings. The untrue establishment is like this: What is meant by "what I have taught are the noble truths of origin" is the fifth explanation of the suchness of the truth of origin, and there are two explanations for this, which should be understood as arising from the explanation of the suchness of the truth of suffering above. The completely pure suchness is like this: What is meant by "what I have taught are the noble truths of cessation" is the sixth explanation of the suchness of the truth of cessation, and there are two explanations for this, which should be understood as before. The true establishment is like this: What is meant by "what I have taught are the noble truths of the path" is the seventh explanation of the suchness of the truth of the path, and there are two explanations for this, which are only different in wording. Therefore, for the sake of the suchness of entering, the suchness of abiding, and the suchness of untrue establishment, all sentient beings are the same and equal, and from here onwards is the third, starting from the four kinds of equality, which teaches the combination with the seven suchnesses. This also has four divisions, and this is the first, like this, because of the three kinds of suchness, sentient beings are the same and equal.

It has become like this. Why is that? Because what enters into it is the twelve links of dependent origination, and the establishment of existence and return is suffering and the origin of suffering. Because of the power of these, sentient beings are manifested and exist. Because of the Suchness of characteristics and the Suchness of consciousness, it is said that all dharmas are the same and equal. This is because of the two aspects of the second Suchness, showing that all dharmas have become equal. Because all dharmas take the principle of Suchness-only-consciousness as their own nature. Because of the pure Suchness, whether it is the Bodhi of the Hearers, or the Bodhi of the Solitary Buddhas, and the Bodhi of the Unsurpassed Perfect and Complete Enlightenment, all Bodhis are the same and equal. This is because of the third pure Suchness. It shows that the Bodhi of the Three Vehicles is the same and equal, because all have abandoned the obscurations of afflictions, and there is no difference in attaining the cessation of Nirvana that is individually realized. In the Sutras, it is said that the noble ones of the Three Vehicles are equally seated on the seat of liberation, and the intention of what is said is also that the cessation to be attained and the wisdom of the attainer have the meaning of equality. Because of the Suchness of true accomplishment, it is said that the Shamatha that takes the Dharma mixed with true Dharma as its object, and the Vipassana that is especially superior and the wisdom that is gathered are the same and equal. This is because of the fourth Suchness, showing that the wisdom gathered by Shamatha and Vipassana is equal. These seven Suchnesses should be understood as they appear from the teachings on the nature of extensive differentiation. The meaning of grasping is like this: the five internal sense bases, and mind, intellect, and consciousness, and mental factors, etc. This is the third explanation of the meaning of grasping. Like this, the meaning of grasping is the five sense faculties themselves, because they completely grasp the five objects. Mind, intellect, and consciousness

That which is called "is" refers to the eight consciousnesses. There are two meanings to this, namely the general and the specific. The details are as explained above. The mental factors that are concomitant with these are also called grasping, because the objects are the same. In detail, it should be understood as explained in the treatises *Abhidharmasamuccaya* and *Abhidharmasamuccayavyākhyā*. The meaning of what is grasped is as follows: it refers to the six external sense bases. Furthermore, what is the meaning of grasping? The answer is, it is also the meaning of what is grasped. This is the fourth explanation of the meaning of what is grasped. Like this, in the twelve sense bases, whatever is other than the six external sense bases and the mental factors is only what is grasped, and not grasping. Furthermore, what was previously explained as grasping is also what is grasped, because the mind and mental factors apprehend objects. A detailed differentiation should be understood as explained in the treatises *Dharmasamuccaya* and *Dharmasamuccayavyākhyā*. The meaning of establishment is as follows: In the realm of the vessel world, the realm of all sentient beings is established and appears. From here onwards is the fifth explanation of the meaning of establishment. This can also be divided into two, namely the general and the specific. This is the first general explanation, like this, whatever is the vessel world is the place where sentient beings are established, because it completely contains sentient beings, therefore it is called establishment. For example, one village, one hundred villages, one thousand villages, one hundred thousand villages, etc., this is the second specific explanation for the sake of establishment. There are also three explanations for this. Some say that this can be divided into ten types in order: the measure of a village, the measure of the great earth, the measure of Jambudvipa, the measure of the four continents, the measure of a small chiliocosm, the measure of a medium chiliocosm, the measure of a great chiliocosm,
