Dividing the meanings into ten aspects, they are divided into ten from the explanation itself. The first is also divided into two aspects: explaining correctly, and explaining by showing the object and then using analogy. This is the first, and the words of the sutra are also shown in three ways: showing briefly, explaining in detail, and concluding. Like this, the dharmas that should be fully understood are not different from the dharmas that are completely afflicted and completely purified, therefore, for the dharmas that are completely afflicted and completely purified, how many detailed distinctions there are, all of these completely encompass all the dharmas, that is how many there are. This is the concluding remark. For example, the number of aggregates is five. The number of internal sense bases is six. The number of external sense bases is also six. And so on, all of these. This is the second, showing the object first, and then explaining by analogy. For example, the number of aggregates is five, etc., these words themselves are showing the object, like this, all dharmas have two aspects, the first is all conditioned dharmas, for example, the number of aggregates is five, therefore it encompasses all conditioned dharmas, so it is said how many there are. The second is all conditioned and unconditioned dharmas, namely the six internal sense bases and the six external sense bases, these twelve encompass all conditioned and unconditioned dharmas, so it is also said how many there are, etc., these all show explaining by analogy, just like the aggregates and sense bases, the eighteen realms, etc., are also the same. Existing as it is, is like this: the suchness of all the completely afflicted and all the purified dharmas, that is what is called existing as it is here. And so on, this is the explanation of the second existing as it is. This also has two aspects: showing briefly, and explaining extensively. The first showing briefly is also shown by dividing it into three aspects: showing briefly, explaining in detail

and the conclusion. For example, that which has the same taste of Suchness for all defiled and purified dharmas, and the equality of Dharmata, whatever exists, is called 'as it is'. These two natures were also first spoken of in this very sutra, therefore, the teachers who composed the treatises each grasped the meaning of the sutra's words and explained various different views, elucidating the treatises. However, in the Saṃdhinirmocana Sūtra, it is explained in accordance with this very sutra. In the treatises Abhidharmasamuccaya and Abhidharmasamuccayavyākhyā, the three, skandhas, dhātus, and āyatanas, are called 'as many as there are'. The Four Noble Truths, the Sixteen Aspects, Suchness, the Four Seals of Dharma, the Three Doors to Liberation, etc., are called 'as they truly are'. Therefore, in the Abhidharmasamuccaya it says: 'As many as there are' refers to the skandhas, dhātus, and āyatanas. 'As they truly are' refers to the Four Noble Truths, the Sixteen Aspects, Suchness, all conditioned things are impermanent, all conditioned things are suffering, all dharmas are without self, Nirvana is peace, emptiness, wishlessness, and signlessness. And in the explanation of the Abhidharmasamuccayavyākhyā it says: 'The limits and boundaries of directions are exhausted in these,' therefore, regarding the skandhas
