Just like that, may it become like him. The fourth benefit of completely exhausting karmic obscurations refers to the five inexpiable sins, and so on. The five inexpiable sins are killing one's mother, and so on, which are done due to ignorance. Since ignorance is the root, other desires, and so on, are also said to be caused by ignorance. Therefore, reciting this aspiration of the conduct of Samantabhadra as described, with the heart filled with the water of faith, reciting, proclaiming, delighting in mind, reading, holding, and practicing, with fearless diligence day and night without懈怠, then even the five inexpiable sins can be quickly and completely exhausted, that is, uprooted from the root. The others are of two kinds, namely, the other causes and effects. Among them, the characteristics of wisdom, marks, minor marks, and lineage not being bound by incompatible aspects, such as wisdom and form, and so on. Wisdom refers to the form of wisdom's realm, like an ocean, liberating beings, and the form refers to a pleasing form. Marks refer to the thirty-two marks of a great man, such as the invisible crown of the head, and so on, as well as the retinue of marks, the minor marks, and so on, which should be understood as having virtues that others do not possess. Lineage refers to Brahmins, Jewish lineage, and other lineages. Lineage refers to special realizations, supernormal powers, and so on. Transformation refers to transformation, that is, birth. Having refers to completely having. Demons and many heretics cannot overcome him, which means that the assembly of heretics and the assembly of demons cannot overcome him, that is, cannot overwhelm him. All beings in the three realms will also make offerings to him. If someone holds, reads, and proclaims this "Samantabhadra's Conduct and Aspiration," then the truly summarized result is: going to the Bodhi tree king, sitting on the lion throne, subduing the armies of demons, manifesting enlightenment, turning the wheel of Dharma, and so on, these characteristics that are spoken of, such as going quickly, and so on.

The correct collection is: to quickly go with the accumulation of merit and wisdom, which is called the King of Bodhi Trees. Having arrived, to benefit all beings in the lotus posture, and to sit on the lion throne for the sake of happiness. Having sat, to defeat the armies of Mara, and thereafter to manifestly and completely awaken to unsurpassed, perfect enlightenment, and to turn the unsurpassed wheel of Dharma, up to being called the Teacher. Again, in brief, whatever benefits of complete perfection, both worldly and beyond worldly, are spoken of, are represented by the "Samantabhadra's Conduct and Vows," and so forth. Whoever holds, recites, and teaches this aspiration of Samantabhadra's Conduct, that aspiration is known by the Buddha, the Bhagavan, the Lord; others, such as Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, do not know it. If asked, what is the nature of the ripening of this precious aspiration? It is said: Supreme Bodhi, the fruit of unsurpassed, perfect enlightenment, realizing the complete perfection of all that is beyond the world, and this benefit itself should be spoken and understood, because without it, it will not arise, therefore from it, worldly perfection will be obtained. Therefore, one should not generate doubt towards this King of Aspirations. Now, the dedication of whatever is recited is spoken, such as "How does Manjushri know?" and so forth. As the noble Manjushri knows, and the great Bodhisattva Samantabhadra, so too. I should learn from their actions, and these accumulations of virtue should be dedicated to the Bodhisattva in this way. Now is the second Tathagata dedication, such as "All Buddhas who have passed in the three times," and so forth. Whatever the Buddhas, the Bhagavad-Tathagatas, who abide in the three times, dedicate, is the most supreme and unsurpassed of praises and adorations. I, that is, I too should dedicate, all these accumulated collections of merit, all are practiced with the unsurpassed, excellent conduct.

Now, with half a verse, one purifies obscurations, and with the other half, one cultivates the nature that is in accordance with the pāramitās. What is said to be taken up is: beginning with "when death comes." "When death comes" means death. Its "when death comes" is at the time of death. Whatever slight obscurations arise, all of them are completely removed by virtuous conduct. "Seeing directly" means seeing the Bhagavan Amitābha. "There" refers to that Buddha-field of Sukhāvatī. "Going" means going there. Thus, having gone to that Buddha-field of Sukhāvatī, may I also realize the collection of aspirations as it has been shown in this way. For the sake of benefiting all sentient beings without exception, may I completely fulfill all of these. How long will this last? It is said, "As long as the world exists," meaning as long as sentient beings exist in the world. Obtaining the true prophecy and supremely accomplishing the benefit of sentient beings is: beginning with "the mandala of the Victorious Ones," where "there" refers to that place. "The mandala of the Victorious Ones" refers to the mandala of the retinue of the Tathāgata. "Good" means beautiful, pleasing, and agreeable. "Supreme lotus" refers to the supreme of lotuses, adorned with various jewels, its nature beautiful and pleasing, radiantly bright, emitting many rays of light. "Born" means will come into being. "Prophecy" means giving a prophecy, that is, giving a prophecy by this. At this time, in a world-realm called Tshe Ge Mo, the Tathāgata, Arhat, Samyaksaṃbuddha, will be named "This Name," in this way giving a prophecy. From that, I obtained the prophecy directly in the presence of the Bhagavan Amitābha. "There" means having obtained the prophecy from the Bhagavan Amitābha, then having emanated clouds of hundreds of thousands of billions of emanations, pervading all ten directions, in an instant I will do countless benefits for these sentient beings. In brief, it is.
