If it has become self-nature, how can it act on self-nature? If it has not become self-nature, then nothing else can be found from it. The meaning of "doing" appears in many ways in the world. The so-called "doing happiness" means "producing." The so-called "doing Agtsom" means "appearing." The so-called "doing back" means "squeezing." The so-called "doing servant" means "making a request to give a servant." The so-called "doing sowing" means "placing." The so-called "doing the father's words" means "following the words he has indicated." The so-called "doing opportunity" means "removing obstacles." Therefore, the meaning of "the producer makes birth" must be explained. If it is said that "it is being born," then it shows that birth will also be born again. Moreover, it will lead to the birth of others, thus leading to endlessness. Therefore, even without doing, it is only the attainment of self-nature, just like the author, showing that it is being produced. Merely the existence of conditions is reliance, but there is no action on this, and there is no author, then how can these two be together with the author? Therefore, the statement "dependent arising" is reasonable. The so-called "related arising" means "without interval and interruption." If this is the case, it shows that nothing arises from what has passed away. Also, in other sutras, the nature of Dharma, the abiding of Dharma, and the certainty of Dharma, which are mentioned here, are elaborated in detail, and it is said that this is dependent arising. What is the nature of Dharma? It is the self-nature of all Dharmas, that is, "this being, that arises; this arising, that arises." What is birth? It is the attainment of the self-nature of all Dharmas. How does the nature of Dharma arise? It is that Dharma attains self-nature by relying on other Dharmas. What is now being explained is the dependent arising of the present time.

The nature of reality is taught in order to know the three times of past, present, and future. What is the abiding nature of dharma? It is the very nature of reality. Why? Because it is the meaning of being unconditioned. As the Bhagavan said: "Oh monks, dependent arising is not made by me, nor is it made by others. Whether the Tathagata appears or does not appear, this nature of reality has always existed. The abiding nature of dharma is the realm of reality." What is this "realm of reality"? It is that by which differences others become the cause of others. In terms of definitive words, it is called the realm of reality because it holds the nature of cause. What is the definitive nature of reality? It is the nature of reality itself, which is without delusion. Thus, the two words of the nature of reality indicate what is permanent and what is uniquely certain. Other words besides these should be understood as explanations that follow in relation. Or it is the third part. If the opposite of knowing is another dharma of unknowing, then like this, non-afflicted ignorance is not knowing how to write, treatises, crafts, sicknesses, causes of sicknesses, medicines, and so on, and not knowing the realms of the Buddhas, which actually exists even in arhats. Is what they know another dharma that is the opposite of this, or is it merely the absence of knowing? What is the fault? If the opposite of knowing is another dharma, then is the single knowing the opposite of all of those, or are the individual knowings different? If it is the single knowing, then why does the unknowing of all not disappear when knowing arises in one person? If the individual knowings are different, then it will necessarily be established that limitless unknowing exists simultaneously in one mind. It is not reasonable for multiple substances of unknowing to exist simultaneously, like the substances of feeling and so on. It is also reasonable for those limitless substances to exist in a single moment of the continuum of sentient beings. Or, if the mere absence of the object of knowing is ignorance, then why is it not similarly accepted that all ignorance is like that? Non-afflicted ignorance is also my...
