When the Bhagavan acts for the benefit of sentient beings in the desire realm, he is called unsoiled by desires because he is not robbed by the desire for desires belonging to the desire realm, or by sentient beings belonging to that realm who practice wrongly. Even in the form realm, when entering into meditative absorption, he is called not closely soiled by forms because he truly shows the bliss of meditative absorption and the qualities of being born there in connection with sentient beings belonging there, and his mind is not distracted. Being closely soiled is being closely soiled, that is, tasting the flavor of meditative absorption and tasting the flavor by truly seeing the qualities of birth. Because those are absent, he is called not closely soiled. Completely liberated from the aggregates, not possessing the elements, binding the sense fields, these three terms show that the Bhagavan acts for the benefit of sentient beings without attachment to anything, and that thing is the aggregates, elements, and sense fields, because inner and outer things are its nature. Those are also the place of attachment, therefore, the aggregates are the characteristic of rebirth, therefore, being completely liberated from those, the Bhagavan is called completely liberated from the aggregates. The elements are the nature of the senses being united with objects through the way of consciousness, therefore, being free from all defilements that depend on it, the Bhagavan is called not possessing the elements. The sense fields are the door of birth for seeing and so on, therefore, binding all defilements that depend on it, the Bhagavan is called binding the sense fields. Completely cutting the knots, being liberated from all sufferings, being liberated from craving, crossing the river, these four terms show what kind of perfect abandonment the Bhagavan has, acting for the benefit of sentient beings, the defilements in brief, are divided into two types by the difference of not meeting and meeting with objects, that is, the characteristics of knots and the characteristics of all sufferings. The doors of those are also two types, that is, the doors of craving and the rivers of

These are the knots. For those who have not encountered objects, they are bound by the desire that seeks after things. For those who have encountered them, they are mostly tormented because they are robbed like a river through constant use. Because of abandoning the desires that are the gateway to those knots, and the rivers that are the gateway to those thorough torments, that Bhagavan is called: One who has completely cut off the knots, one who is liberated from thorough torments, one who is liberated from desire, one who has crossed over the river. Perfect wisdom, abiding in the wisdom of the Buddhas, the Bhagavans of the past, future, and present, not abiding in nirvana, abiding in the limit of reality. These four phrases show what kind of perfect wisdom the Bhagavan is, and the work of benefiting sentient beings. That wisdom has three aspects: the wisdom of all aspects, the wisdom of non-difference, and the wisdom of non-abiding. Among them, the wisdom of all aspects is called perfect wisdom because wisdom pervades all collections of knowable objects and all aspects. The wisdom of non-difference is called abiding in the wisdom of the Buddhas, the Bhagavans of the past, future, and present, because the differences such as the life span of the Buddhas belonging to the three times, the nature of the body, and the fields, etc., also attain equality through the Dharmakaya. The wisdom of non-abiding is called not abiding in nirvana because it does not abide in samsara and nirvana. The so-called abiding in the limit of reality is that which does not abide in the nirvana of the Shravakas, etc. The limit of reality is the purity of the Tathagatagarbha, which is the Dharmakaya. Abiding in that is called abiding in the limit of reality. The so-called abiding in the ground of seeing all sentient beings, the meaning of this summary is: the ground of seeing all sentient beings is the three bodies of the Tathagata. That is, the Tathagata abides in that alone, sentient beings
