And, many contradictory aspects appear. Therefore, just like the mind, external objects are also truly existent because they are taught by the perfectly enlightened Buddha, and because they appear clearly. If external objects did not exist at all, then the root of beings, the perfectly enlightened Buddha, with the compassionate and immaculate intention, from the sutra of the great vehicle Sala sapling, the various differences of the nature of dependent arising are actually taught in two ways, but in any case, this is not reasonable. Therefore, all things are clearly shown as two types, with the distinction of outer and inner. Therefore, it is not that there is no self-nature. For things that are not necessary, the Bhagavan, the all-knowing one, would not deliberately speak of them in two ways. Whatever is the entry point for all, because that is the preliminary, for those who are disciplined in calming the mind, none of those things are worthy of respect. For what the teacher has equally taught, you completely accept and reject certain things, what is the reason for this certainty? Therefore, in order to show the difference of dependent arising things, just like the limbs such as ignorance, external things are also reasonable. If it is not like that, then just like the horns of a horse, etc., for things that are determined to be non-existent, there is no difference at all, and it will not change for this either. Unintelligent people say that, not understanding the intention of the Bhagavan, they argue very much, and for those people, it should be said here. Whatever is taught in two ways, that is for beings, only on the level of fame, and just that, sentient beings will not become two. Even if there is no difference in the aggregate of form, but in the nature of outer and inner, just as it is taught in two ways, it is necessary to understand this as well. Therefore, the eyes, etc., abide in the nature of being inside, and form and sound, etc., are outside, and even if they are the same, there is no contradiction. Both are those with intelligent qualities, with correct wisdom, whatever is to be proven such as immovability, etc., that is shown to be without difference. Therefore, even if it is the same, here, the different teachings are not contradictory. For those to be tamed, the protector teaches in various ways. Furthermore, if it is said that it is taught in the sutra, without examining the intention of the Sugata, everything

If one holds it as it is, then I am also like that. If one does not hold it as it is, it is also like this, he speaks from within it. Therefore, one should examine and then hold it; otherwise, it will be too extreme. For example, just as the Bhagavan, seeing the need to tame, showed a false birth, similarly, he also showed the aggregates and so on. Therefore, the Thubpa (Buddha) clearly expounded the Madhyamaka system. It is explained in the 'Sixty Reasonings' of the great-minded and wise teacher: Just as the Victorious Ones spoke of 'I' and 'mine' out of necessity, similarly, the aggregates, elements, and sense bases are spoken of out of necessity. This is its meaning. Therefore, by its power, all things are possessed of inherent existence, and are not existent in all ways; the wise ones who uphold the scriptures should contemplate this. Incidentally, the words that come along are sufficient. In this 'mind-only,' there is also valid cognition clearly present. Words that are devoid of valid cognition will not please the wise. The mind of a person who has become the object of debate, such as the eyes that have not fallen asleep, is not a truly external appearance, because it is mind, like the mind in a dream. By these valid cognitions and so on, it is also ascertained that it is only mind. There is also scriptural authority that establishes mind-only, which increases the wisdom of the wise. The Sutra called 'Lankavatara' is clearly pointed out, as it says: 'Just as children's discriminations, external objects are not real; the mind, disturbed by habitual tendencies, appears as objects.' and so on. Although the grasping of external objects is prevented, your view, the mind-only system, will not be established, because the mind is said to depend on it. If there is no object of knowledge, how can the knowledge that depends on it be established? By the appearance of knowledge as dualistic, saying 'solitude' is also very hypocritical. Considering this, the great teacher, the one with the treasure of the Sugata's compassion, is called Nagarjuna. It is also said in the praise: 'Without knowing, there is no object of knowledge; without it, there is also no knowledge; therefore, you say that knowledge and the object of knowledge are without inherent existence.' This is its meaning. Because there is no valid cognition that grasps it, its existence cannot be established at all. If it exists, you will see the truth without any effort.
