It is not caused by karma, but relies on the awareness that appears there, and is merely spoken of in name only. Everything, such as the nature of solidity, appears as only wisdom. Appearances other than the mind never exist at any time. Because it is stated in the 'Holy Lankavatara Sutra', it should be admitted in this way. In it, by explaining non-duality, it is said that what appears there is awareness. As it is said in the sutra: The dharmas of warmth, moisture, movement, and hardness are falsely attributed from what is not true, and are separately speculated by children. There is no basis and no self-nature. The minds of sentient beings will be destroyed into objects of grasping and being grasped. Just as children speculate, the nature of appearance does not exist. Just as a painting has heights and lows, but does not exist. Similarly, things appear as things themselves, but do not exist. Just as a person with blurred vision mistakenly grasps hair aberrations. Similarly, this distinction of things is wrongly speculated by children. And so on. Therefore, the words of the Tathagata, just as they are spoken, are completely followed and practiced, abandoning the happiness of the Pure Land, and having the intention of focusing on enlightenment. The one prophesied by the Omniscient One, the first one named Nagarjuna, was also spoken by Ishvara, the explanation of the great elements, etc., is completely contained in the Alaya consciousness. If it is separated by knowing it, is it not a wrong distinction? And so on. If there is an external object, then in the vast Mahayana sutras, the sovereign of omniscience would not have said that. The loving teacher with wisdom who follows his doctrine would never explain it that way. Also, here some people, in order to establish the existence of external objects, strongly contradict the Mahayana sutras themselves. Thus, the protector, the Bhagavan, the all-knowing Shakyamuni, the supreme being, and his teachings, here, for all the wise who regard the Buddha as a valid person, are also valid, and not anything else. The Mahayana scriptures of the Buddhas are spoken from here and there, if you admit that external objects do not exist at all, then the sutras he spoke
