How does it transform? The meaning of 'meeting' is that arising from meeting is dependent origination. The sound of dependent origination exists even for those who do not acknowledge the difference in meaning. It also exists for those who acknowledge the difference in meaning, because it is said that relying on the eye and form, the eye and form meet, and it depends on the eye and form. If the sound of 'itya' has a beneficial limit, then relying on the eye and form, the consciousness of the eye arises. Here, the sound of 'pratītya' is not inexhaustible, and because there is no abbreviation of words, the distinction will be heard. If it is to be said that the eye and form rely on consciousness, then this is not the case either. It should be acknowledged that only the inexhaustible with the limit of 'lya' is specifically explained. Some say that the near translation of 'dependent origination' is because it is the meaning of repetition, the connection is because it is the meaning of meeting, and the sound of 'arising' is the meaning of birth. Arising depends on that and that cause and condition, that is, arising from meeting. Others say that the arising of those who each have destruction is dependent origination. After repeating the statements of others, refuting them, I think that for the time being, one is not skilled at repeating the views of others. Why? Because if someone explains the sound of dependent origination as having the meaning of meeting, then 'dependent origination' is not the meaning of repetition, and 'connection' is not the meaning of meeting either. Then what is it? 'Dependent origination' is the meaning of meeting, and 'connection' is the meaning of going. The sound of the collection of dependent origination will be explained as merely meeting. Therefore, now arising from meeting is dependent origination. If the sound of dependent origination, which is said in that way, wants to express grasping all the limits of existence, then the collection of that and that cause and condition meeting and arising is dependent origination, which will be related to repetition. However, if grasping the difference, then

Saying "depending on the eye and form" is not repetitive and irrelevant. In that case, for the time being, this teacher is not good at following up with statements. This is also not acceptable, because refuting that saying "depending on the eye and form, eye consciousness arises" is meaningless is also unreasonable. Why? Because the reason for "how it is not" has not been stated, it is merely an assertion. If it is thought that consciousness is not material, therefore it is impossible to be in contact with the eye, because only material things can be seen to be in contact with it, then this is also unreasonable. Because it is admitted that "this monk has attained the fruit" is in contact; and the word "having touched" is also a synonym for the word "depending on"; and the word "dependent arising," the teacher Nagarjuna (Tibetan: ཀླུ་སྒྲུབ་) also promised that "that and that depend on what arises, not from its own entity that is not born" is the meaning of contact. Therefore, others say that the fault is also unreasonable. If someone asks, then what is it? The answer is, "This exists, therefore that arises, this is born, therefore this is born," the meaning of having these conditions is the meaning of dependent arising, this way of establishing one's own tenet is also unreasonable. Because the two words "dependent arising" and "arising" each do not explain the difference in meaning, and also want to explain separately. If, like "the dripping water of a monastery," etc., it is admitted that the word dependent arising is a deeply rooted word, and it is declared as such, this is also unreasonable. Because the teacher said that the word dependent arising: "that and that depend on what arises, not from its own entity that is not born," promised that it is related to the meaning of the limbs. If it is said, "If this exists, then that arises, as if there is short, there is long," this is explained because it is in contact with the short and depends on the short, depending on the short it becomes long, thus this is promised.
