The term "ground" refers to how the vehicles are explained and established. The term "meaning" refers to the sole principle of wisdom that enters the indivisible realm of Dharma, as stated in the Sutra Spoken by Inexhaustible Intellect. Similarly, it is also cited from sutras such as the Ocean of Intelligence Sutra, saying that all vehicles will converge into one vehicle. Furthermore, in some Mahayana sutras, there is no act of cursing the Arhats. For example, in the Sutra of the Good-minded Daughter, the distinctions between Shravakas and Bodhisattvas are shown as mustard seeds, Mount Sumeru, fire wheels, the sun, foxes, lions, castor plants, and sandalwood. This merely describes how their respective natures abide, without any disparagement or praise of either. For example, if someone says, "Compared to the light of a ruby, the light of a wish-fulfilling jewel is extremely great," is this disparaging the ruby or praising the wish-fulfilling jewel? Moreover, those ignorant ones who equate the great ocean with the water in a cow's hoofprint, and say that the water in a cow's hoofprint is the great ocean, is this not a laughable matter? As for those who are followers of the Hearer and Solitary Realizer vehicles, who seek little meaning, engage in few activities, turn their backs on benefiting others, are self-disciplined and peaceful, focus on liberation, and rely on a small seed of liberation to attain uncontaminated wisdom the size of a worm-eaten space within a mustard seed, who would disparage them? Bodhisattvas, who accumulate roots of virtue in countless hundreds of thousands of millions of eons, who, with faithful intelligence, strive to perfect uncontaminated wisdom equal to the entirety of space in order to liberate all beings tormented by suffering, who possess great and boundless power, who would praise them? As it is said: Everything arises from a small seed, but the fruit is extremely vast. The cause of Buddhahood comes from immeasurable sources, the fruit
