To slander the teachings of the Tathagata, the teachings will harm you; to slander direct perception, direct perception will harm you; inference will cause harm, and it will become a slander against it; conventional truth will cause harm, and it will become a slander against it; commitment will cause harm. Oneself is also ruined, and other wise people are also led into this wrong path and ruined. Therefore, this doctrine should be abandoned. In this regard, it should be said here: Alas! From beginningless samsara, due to the great disease of ignorance covering the eye of wisdom, one has not been liberated from it. Those who proclaim the profound truth are regarded as enemies, and they cover their ears. Those who have not truly understood the definitive teachings of the Tathagata, and have not accumulated the two accumulations, for those who have no opportunity for interest, hearing, and entry into such doctrines, please listen! The Dharma of the noble person is the path of the great vehicle. Having abandoned the poison of bias, speak with an impartial mind. The stain of the fault of your first debater is non-existent, because it is said that "non-seeing is the supreme seeing," so what kind of meaning does non-seeing have, and how should it be committed to? The teacher himself said from his golden mouth: "If there is something that exists, then it must be committed to, but things are originally unborn, how can one commit to it?" Thus it is said. For us Madhyamikas, the object that must be committed to cannot be indicated even if it is divided into billions of atoms. "The committed mind-consciousness object, not even a particle exists, because it is originally unborn, like the child of a barren woman." For example, if you ask a barren woman, "Who is your son?" Since she has no son at all, she cannot answer. Therefore, in the face of the wisdom of us Madhyamikas, there are no things such as existence and non-existence as you desire, because all dharmas are unborn and unspeakable. The stain of the fault of the second debater is non-existent. Like this, those who grasp non-existent things as real are to be reproached. The Sutra says: "Grasping at self, even as high as Mount Sumeru, is supreme; however, seeing emptiness is not so, it is excellent."

It is said that it is an incurable view. Also, in the Holy Dense Jewel Garland, it says: "The view of self, even if it becomes as large as Mount Meru, does not harm, but the view of emptiness harms, because pride is examined as untrue. Yogic practitioners should not apply emptiness to what is not the place. If it is applied to what is not the place, nectar will turn into poison. Whatever views there may be, existing in sentient beings, in order to completely abandon these views, the nature of emptiness is taught. Even if one hears the view of emptiness, if the view of some is not destroyed, they have an incurable view, like a patient abandoned by a doctor." Thus it is said. We Madhyamikas do not think so. Considering this meaning, the teacher also said: "Emptiness, which is said to be 'unborn' and 'empty' and 'selfless,' whoever says it is an inferior self, he is meditating on self here." Thus it is said. Therefore, if one merely negates the existence of things and considers their nature to be non-existence, then it will become like that. Because we have abandoned the two extremes, in order to show the Middle Way, we must also negate non-existence. The mind that thinks all things are non-existent does not truly think of anything else, because it arises from conceptualization, like the wrong perception of hail. Those who say that things are not completely existent, because the moment of the cause has ceased, nor are they completely non-existent, because the moment of the effect has arisen, their mind is only the nature of existence and non-existence. Explaining this: The mind of existence and non-existence is what is to be realized, because it is negated, so the wise, with non-discriminating wisdom, in the manner of non-birth. Because the nature of emptiness and so on is emptiness, therefore, the wise will not cling to emptiness as emptiness. Because all dharmas are not established, the wisdom that does not discriminate against anyone will not arise, Nagarjuna thinks so. Therefore, the teacher himself said: "Whoever's mind transcends existence and non-existence and does not abide in them, those people should meditate on the profound, signless meaning of dependent origination. Also, whichever inferior intellect for existence
