Just as right and left are established for things that are born together. Here it is said: If any object is established by depending, And also depends on that itself, If what is to be depended on is established, Then depending on what, what is established? This is the remaining meaning of the word "first." If, as you wish, the nature of fire depends on firewood to be established, and also depends on the fire itself in order for the fire to be established, then if the nature of firewood, which is to be depended on, is established, depending on what will what be established? Neither fire nor firewood will be established, because arising from one's own cause, mutual dependence is not established. This is the meaning of the words. Therefore, even in the example of the horns of a cow, it becomes the same topic. For those two, depending on which, whichever is established, what is called right or left? And also, whatever object is established by dependence, If it is not established, how does it depend? What is not established is itself not dependent, this is the meaning of the words, this is an approximate statement of the commitment. Here, the inference is that, in reality, fire is not established, therefore it does not depend on firewood, because it itself is not established as fire, like something other than that. In order to conceal the harm to one's own position, if one says that it depends on being established, even if one says that, it is not reasonable. Because by inferring with dependence, existence denies non-existence, therefore, the commitment of those who speak of non-existence has the fault of denying the self-nature of the subject, it is thought. Or, that is not reasonable, because it does not exist, like a flower in the sky. Or, that is not reasonable. Firewood does not depend on fire, similarly because it does not exist, like something other than that. Similarly, one should also say for the side of fire. Therefore, if one examines it in that way, there is no fire that depends on wood, because according to the way shown earlier, firewood does not depend on fire, because firewood itself is not established. Without depending on wood, there is also no fire. Because different causes have not been established as other, and otherness has been prevented.

Similarly, there is no wood that depends on fire, nor is there wood that does not depend on fire. Because dependence is negated, and otherness is negated. Again, fire does not come from elsewhere, because otherness is negated, and going is negated, and existence as a substance is negated. If it is examined whether it comes with firewood or without firewood, it is not established in either case, because having dependence is not established, and if there is no dependence, there is no basis because there is no firewood. Fire also does not exist in wood, because otherness is negated. Or, stating with firewood without fire as one side: Fire also does not exist in wood, because it is something that arises, like consciousness. It should be understood in this way. Some say that because fire is the characteristic of courage, dust, and darkness, there are also these characteristics in the example, but for those people, because there is no object with a clear distinction in it, it is not that there is no example. If it is said that there is no fault because there is its power, then, that answer is like, when a logician who does not know the characteristics of sound is shown that he does not know the characteristics of sound, he instead refutes by saying that he is proficient in the characteristics of sound because he knows the treatises of logic. Others explain: "Fire also does not exist in wood," because it is not seen, and the composition becomes meaningless. Others say that it is not reasonable, because not seeing cannot be established as a reason, and the reason for a meaningful composition will contradict the conclusion of showing existence. Do not think that only the refutations of fire and firewood as stated above can be used to refute, but rather that other refutations should also be used to refute, therefore, the remaining refutations should also be shown similarly: By measuring what has gone and what has not gone, similarly show the remainder on wood. Just as from inference what has gone and what has not gone, and measuring has no going, similarly for what has been burned, what has not been burned, and what is being burned, there is also no burning, because it is to be burned, like what has been burned, and so on, it should be said.
