Ah! It is like pursuing suffering. Because of desiring suffering, it can be obtained, In terms of desire, where would there be happiness? Why do you respect what is scarce, Why are you not afraid of what is abundant? The body that has become happy, Becomes a container of suffering, Respecting the body and respecting the enemy, These two seem to be the same. Even if the body is extremely old, It will not become the master of happiness, Saying that one's own nature is suppressed by others, This action is not reasonable. For the superior, it is mental suffering, For the inferior, it is born from the body. With two kinds of suffering, this world, Is destroyed day by day. Happiness becomes the control of thought, Thought becomes the control of suffering, Therefore, among all things, apart from suffering, There is nothing more powerful. How time passes, In that way, suffering increases. Therefore, happiness for this body, Seems like something else. There are many causes of suffering, Diseases and other appearances, Among so many, The causes of happiness do not appear to people. From the happiness that is increasing, How is it seen that there is a decrease, In that way, in the midst of increasing suffering, There is no decrease. In happiness accompanied by conditions, A decrease is seen, for suffering, Conditions and oneself accompany, There is no decrease. You are dying and time is passing, If walking and will walk, Being dying becomes happiness, In no way is it reasonable. For embodied beings, hunger and so on, If harm always exists, Harming becomes happiness, In no way is it reasonable. Because of being powerless, all arise, Because it is called arising from assembly, For contradictory ones, it is happiness, In no way is it reasonable. Adjusting outward for cold and so on, If it does not always exist, Being destroyed becomes happiness, In no way is it reasonable. Enjoying without effort and so on, Some things do not exist on earth, Working is happiness, In no way is it reasonable. In this and other lives, oneself, Should always be protected from sin. If there is a bad rebirth, happiness, In no way is it reasonable. For young people and so on, Happiness does not always exist, Initially for what

Without limit, how can there be increase in that? If one spits into a golden vessel, how can one separate even a little of it? Likewise, when suffering is treated as something to be eliminated, one thinks of it as happiness. If what is produced by effort changes, how can there be happiness in producing suffering? Therefore, the capable one thinks that birth, destruction, etc., are said to be suffering. If individual beings do not see suffering as if it were covered by happiness, whatever obscures suffering, there is nothing that is called happiness. Because you do not have separation from suffering and attachment, that which should be shown to individual beings, certainly the Tathagatas speak of that as the end of all ignorance. There is certainly harm in impermanence. Whatever has harm is not happiness. Therefore, whatever is impermanent, all of that becomes known as suffering. The second chapter of the Four Hundred Verses, which shows the method of abandoning the clinging to happiness. Even with a very long distance, there is no end to the object. Like a bad doctor, your object is tiring and fruitless. For some who practice, just as there is no turning back from the desire for land, so too, the desire of the people who are practicing increases. In sexual intercourse with all women, there is not even a slight difference. If you also enjoy other forms, what does the best woman do for you? Whatever is pleasing to someone, he thinks he is satisfied with that. Since it is common to dogs and others, why are you attached to bad intelligence? All your limbs are beautiful. Since that was all common before, it is not at all different from the way you found it to be a wonder to you. Seeing that those with qualities are ugly and that the opposite is the opposite, which of the former or the latter, which is true, is not in any way established? A fool's desire does not arise only for those with qualities. How can the cessation of actions come from causes if there is no cause? As long as others do not know, so long is she ugly to her husband. Women, like bad diseases, should always be protected from causes. If one does not want to be old for what one has done as a youth, how can the liberated ones not be very distressed by that? There is no happiness without detachment, and there is none for those who are not foolish. Whoever's mind is always turned outwards,
