Its function is to combine with the scriptures spoken from the Mother of Prajñāpāramitā, showing that names are universally imputed. Similarly, these dharmas are individually imputed, which is combined with other scriptures of the Mother of Prajñāpāramitā, that is, the dharmas of the meaning expressed by sound, those are also imputed, are fabricated. Because it is so, therefore the relationship between sound and meaning, that is, the relationship that has become a real thing, the Bhagavan does not approve, does not want, but is merely a combination of conceptual mind. In the external objects of ordinary people, etc., for the illusion of attachment to the meaning of the external objects of ordinary people, it is used as thinking that this is the meaning of the external objects. The terminology of the nature of establishing and refuting also enters through such certainty, and the sound itself has no meaning at all. Because of this reason, therefore, how to name in this world, how to combine as an expression, the nature of what is expressed does not exist in that way. Because it is so, therefore, one should not regard the meaning as a conceptual mind as the name is, the Bhagavan does not approve. Just as the name shows the meaning as an external object, similarly, the things that are said and can be said do not exist. This also eliminates the distraction of regarding the meaning as a conceptual mind as the name is. Because it is merely imputed, and because it is imputed, it is said that the name does not express anything, such as "When eliminating the conceptual mind of true meaning," and so on. When eliminating the conceptual mind of the nature of the true meaning of the name meaning different from the meaning, that is, when stopping, the Bhagavan said. What did he say? "Prajñāpāramitā and, Buddha Tathagata Bodhicitta, are just names as said." Thus, the Prajñāpāramitā of self-nature is shown. Because the Tathagata said so, the sound of the name does not exist in its own nature.

Yes. This explains the application of names such as Buddha and Bodhisattva. One should not think that this negation eliminates non-duality. Why is that? Because, for example, "this is the negation of sound and meaning," etc., should be understood as negating sound and meaning. The meaning of "not eliminating things" is that the wisdom of the non-duality of the nature of things is not eliminated, because that is inexpressible by language, since it itself has no sound. Now, what is said is to apply this reasoning elsewhere as well, which is "similarly also applies to other languages." "Similarly" refers to the certainty of the meaning previously stated. "Other languages" refers to languages of this kind. "Determining the meanings" refers to the meaning of having determined the meaning that is not inverted. "Should be known" means should be understood. It is said in the sutra that the Mother Prajñāpāramitā, by realizing suchness, all names are without any object of focus. What is said from the perspective of the meaning of language is "by all-knowing," etc. It is the absence of focus itself. How is it? Truly, that is, not realizing the suchness of things as they are. What is that? What is said is that all the names are speaking. Who speaks? By all-knowing, that is, by the wisdom that realizes suchness without inversion, that is, by the all-knowing one. Because sound and meaning, as what is said and what can be said, are not objects of focus in the true sense, therefore sound is not eliminated, but the sound that is apprehended by the ear consciousness is not eliminated or prevented. It should also be understood that this is also within the scope of the intention to be expressed, because this has eliminated the distraction of conceptual thought on the names of the suchness of things as they are. Having kept in mind the suchness of things, the Blessed One said in the Sutra of Transference: By what and what name, what and what dharma is spoken, that is not in that, this is the dharmata of all dharmas. Name by the nature of name, emptiness, name is not existent. All dharmas without name.
