Bhadra, you should also be admonished not to be attached to or hold on to all dharmas. Then, the sons of the gods who act in the desire realm and those who act in the form realm, entreated the Blessed One in this way, and so on. After the sons of the gods heard the profound meaning of non-attachment and non-grasping, they praised this Prajñāpāramitā with profound and difficult to see, etc. Among them, profound because it is not understood by the minds of tirthikas, śrāvakas, pratyekabuddhas, etc. Because it is so profound, it is difficult to see. Because it is difficult to see, it is difficult to realize. Because it is difficult to realize, it is inconceivable. Because it is inconceivable, it is not an object of thought, and the former word should be used to explain the latter. "Peaceful and subtle" means that it is not an object of thought for śrāvakas and pratyekabuddhas, etc., because all the elaborations of discrimination are peaceful and it is subtle because it is free from the aspects of grasping and being grasped. By the phrase "the wise, the good, and the clear-minded will understand," it is shown that it cannot be known by śrāvakas and pratyekabuddhas, etc., but only bodhisattvas, wise ones who combine skillful means and wisdom, can know it, and others cannot. Blessed One, any sentient beings who have faith in this profound Prajñāpāramitā are those who have made offerings to the previous Buddhas. This shows that sentient beings who have faith and practice in this profound Prajñāpāramitā are rare. Those who have attended to and honored the Tathāgatas of the past will have faith and practice in this profound Prajñāpāramitā, but others will not have such faith and practice. Blessed One, any sentient beings who have faith in this profound Prajñāpāramitā are those who are embraced by virtuous friends and have planted roots of virtue. This also shows that sentient beings who have faith and practice in this profound Prajñāpāramitā are rare. Those who rely on virtuous friends in both this life and previous lives, and who have accumulated merit, will
