Any son or daughter of good family who desires to obtain benefits should strive in the Perfection of Wisdom. Because the Perfection of Wisdom is the cause of obtaining the wisdom of omniscience, obtaining the wisdom of knowing the aspects of the path, abandoning the afflictions connected by habitual tendencies, turning the wheel of Dharma, enabling sentient beings to obtain the four fruits of the Hearers, obtaining self-awakening, obtaining unsurpassed awakening, becoming the most excellent in the three realms, defeating the Maras, and gathering the Sangha of monks. Therefore, if you want to accomplish these things, you should also strive in the Perfection of Wisdom, which is what is to be explained. After saying this, the Lord of the Gods, Indra, asked the Bhagavan, saying: How does one strive in the eighteen unshared Dharmas of the Buddhas when practicing the Perfection of Wisdom? From here to here, it was said above that one should abide in the Perfection of Wisdom because one wants to abide in omniscience. Wanting to accomplish the wisdom of knowing the aspects of the path, it is said that one should strive in the Perfection of Wisdom, etc. Regarding how to abide and how to strive, Indra asked the Bhagavan how to abide and how to strive. The Bhagavan replied: Kauśika (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning: 憍尸迦, kauśika, kauśika, Kauśika), it is very good, very good that you think of asking the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One about this matter! Kauśika (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning: 憍尸迦, kauśika, kauśika, Kauśika), this courage of yours also arises from the blessing of the Buddha. This is praising Indra for asking the Bhagavan how to abide in the Perfection of Wisdom and how to strive, asking well without error. Praising that he asked so well, and also explaining that the courage to ask in this way is the power and blessing of the Bhagavan, this is also for the sake of arousing faith and belief in the retinue. Kauśika (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning: 憍尸迦, kauśika, kauśika, Kauśika), here, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, the Perfection of Wisdom,

When practicing the Prajñāpāramitā, one does not abide in form. When one does not abide in form, that is diligence in form, from "When one does not abide in all-aspects-knowing, that is diligence in all-aspects-knowing," is the answer to the question of how to abide and how to be diligent, the Blessed One said: Since the dharmas from form, etc., up to all-aspects-knowing, are not established as truly existent in ultimate reality, therefore, not grasping at their characteristics and not abiding in the manner of objects of focus is abiding in the Prajñāpāramitā, and that is diligence in the Prajñāpāramitā, this is what is shown. What is the reason for that? Kauśika, it is because such a form, which should be abided in and which should be strived for, is not perceived, from "such all-aspects-knowing, which should be abided in and which should be strived for, is not perceived," is that not abiding in all dharmas such as form is abiding in the Prajñāpāramitā, and is the reason for diligence, this is what is shown. Since all dharmas such as form are without substance and unperceivable in ultimate reality, therefore, one does not regard that there is such a thing to be abided in or focused on, and one does not grasp at characteristics, that is the meaning of abiding and being diligent in the Prajñāpāramitā. Kauśika, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva Mahāsattva practices the Prajñāpāramitā, he does not combine with or separate from form. When one does not combine with or separate from form, that is diligence in form, from "When one does not combine with or separate from all-aspects-knowing, that is diligence in all-aspects-knowing," is that since all dharmas such as form are without substance in that ultimate reality, therefore, one does not strive to achieve them, and one does not abandon them for the sake of not achieving them, that is diligence in the Prajñāpāramitā, this is what is shown. What is the reason for that? It is because that Bodhisattva Mahāsattva is like this
