That which has reached the other shore, being without delusion and completely pure, is that which has removed the obscuration of ignorance that was previously present. It is not that it is completely pure, but because the darkness of ignorance itself is without an object of focus in the ultimate sense, it is completely pure from the beginning, that is its meaning. The so-called "transcendence without all afflictions" indicates that this Prajnaparamita is completely purified of the obscuration of afflictions. The so-called "because all afflictions are without an object of focus" indicates that this Prajnaparamita, being so completely purified of the obscuration of afflictions, is not that it abandoned afflictions from previously having afflictions, and then became completely pure later. Rather, because afflictions themselves are without substance in the ultimate sense, it is to show that it is completely pure from the beginning. The so-called "transcendence without purification" indicates that this Prajnaparamita is empty of inherent existence and completely pure from the beginning. Therefore, it is to show that it is not that it was previously with afflictions and then became purified later, that is its meaning. The so-called "because there are no afflictions" is to explain the reason for such purification. If there were afflictions previously, then abandoning them would be called purification. But afflictions themselves are also empty of inherent existence, because they are pure from the beginning, so there is no purification, that is its meaning. The so-called "transcendence without an object of focus" indicates that this Prajnaparamita is not established as truly existent in the ultimate sense, so it is neither an object of focus nor a thing that focuses, that is its meaning. The so-called "because the place is without an object of focus" indicates that because the place or object to be focused on does not exist, the ability to focus is also non-existent, therefore it is without an object of focus, this is what is to be shown. The so-called "transcendence without elaboration" indicates that this Prajnaparamita is of a nature that is free from all elaborations of conceptual thought, this is what is to be shown. The so-called "because all elaborations have been completely destroyed" indicates that being so free from elaborations of conceptual thought, it is also because it realizes that all elaborations of conceptual thought have not arisen from the beginning, this is what is to be shown.

Absence of Pride The Perfection of Absence of Pride means that this Perfection of Wisdom is of the nature of non-discrimination, thus showing that there is no self-satisfaction or arrogance with one's own merits. The reason for completely destroying all pride is not that one previously had pride and later became without pride, but because one realizes that all pride has not arisen from the beginning. The Perfection of Immovability means that the Perfection of Wisdom does not degenerate or waver from its nature of non-discrimination and absence of pride. Because it abides in the realm of reality, it means that the Perfection of Wisdom is inseparable from the nature of the realm of reality. Just as the realm of reality is perfectly established without change, abiding without wavering or alteration, so too, the Perfection of Wisdom does not waver or alter. The Perfection of Detachment from Desire means that this Perfection of Wisdom is completely pure, thus realizing that all phenomena are of the nature of emptiness, thus showing that there is no attachment to any phenomenon. It causes all phenomena to be manifestly enlightened in their true and non-erroneous nature, because the Perfection of Wisdom enables one to realize without error that all phenomena are of the nature of emptiness, therefore it is the Perfection of Detachment from Desire. The Perfection of Non-Arising means that this Perfection of Wisdom does not apprehend the characteristics of objects such as desire, nor does it discriminate, thus showing the nature of non-arising of afflictions such as desire. Because all phenomena are without discrimination, it means that in ultimate truth, all phenomena are empty of inherent existence and without discrimination, similarly, the Perfection of Wisdom is also empty of inherent existence and without discrimination, therefore there is no arising. The Perfection of Peace means that in this way
