That is to say, even if it is shown in many ways, the suchness will not be reduced or increased. Not showing it will not diminish it, meaning that if it is not shown or spread to others, because no one hears, thinks, or practices it, it will not disappear and return to nothingness. Showing it will not increase it, meaning that the nature of suchness is a profound and unchanging dharma, which has been perfectly accomplished, so even if it is shown and spread to many sentient beings, sentient beings will only understand and comprehend it separately, but the nature of suchness will not increase or expand because of this. Not showing it will not increase it, meaning that suchness is unchanging and perfectly accomplished, so even if it is not shown to others, not taught, it will not increase or expand. The Blessed One said: Yes, it is so. Subhuti, it is so, etc., is to make the retinue related to the words and meanings asked by Subhuti firmly believe, so the Blessed One said that it is true. Subhuti, for example, like this, etc., until Subhuti, similarly, the dharma nature of all dharmas is the same whether it is shown or not, what is said in between is because the profound meaning of Prajnaparamita is unchanging and perfectly accomplished, so the metaphor of not relying on conditions is used to show it. Asking: Blessed One, Bodhisattva Mahasattvas practice in Prajnaparamita, etc., until practicing the difficult, what is said in between is that, like this, the profound meaning of Prajnaparamita is unchanging and perfectly accomplished, not relying on conditions, for such difficult to believe things, when practicing and showing, the mind will not be frustrated and distracted, and will not abandon diligence, will not retreat, having such ability, it is rare and difficult to obtain, it is practicing difficult deeds. What is the reason for this? Blessed One, for example, like this, the Prajnaparamita practiced by Bodhisattva Mahasattvas is practicing the sky, which means that practicing and realizing the profound meaning of Prajnaparamita is a difficult deed.

This is a demonstration of the logic of emptiness. Just as the sky has no substance and is devoid of all characteristics, so too, this profound meaning of the Perfection of Wisdom has no substance and no characteristics. Even when practicing and meditating, one does not become weary or discouraged, which is the meaning of difficult practice. In the sky, there is no form, no feeling, and so on, up to no unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. This is a demonstration of the logic that the sky has no substance and no characteristics. The sky is not the substance of all those dharmas, from form and so on up to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, and is empty of its own nature. Just as it is difficult to meditate on such emptiness of its own nature, so too, it is difficult to meditate on the Perfection of Wisdom, which is a difficult practice. World-Honored One, those Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas who wear this armor are worthy of reverence. This is explained in the manner described above, that even when practicing and meditating on the profound meaning of the Perfection of Wisdom, which is similar to the sky, one does not become discouraged or turn back. Such difficult practice is rare and wonderful. Because they have donned great armor, they are worthy of being worshiped and revered by gods and humans. World-Honored One, those who wear this armor are inclined to strive, endeavor, and be diligent for the sake of the meaning of the sky. This means that even when meditating on the profound meaning of the Perfection of Wisdom, and meditating with difficulty to believe, one does not become discouraged or turn back. The example of those who have donned armor is as difficult as striving and endeavoring in the sky. World-Honored One, those who wear armor for the sake of sentient beings are seeking to fully ripen and liberate the sky. This means that those who have donned the armor of diligence in order to fully ripen and liberate sentient beings, in the ultimate sense, sentient beings have no substance. Like the sky, they are fully ripened and liberated, just as the sky is fully ripened and liberated.

This shows the desire to be dumb. World Honored One, those Bodhisattva Mahasattvas who don the armor for the sake of the Dharma that is like the sky, that is donning the great armor, which is to mature and liberate sentient beings who should be tamed, to realize and obtain pure Dharma, to completely abandon and exhaust all Dharma belonging to the side of afflictions, these are truly unreal and empty of self-nature, like the sky, Bodhisattvas strive to mature and liberate sentient beings, strive to realize and obtain pure Dharma, strive to completely abandon and exhaust Dharma belonging to the side of afflictions, these Bodhisattvas are practicing asceticism, they have donned the great armor, this is what is to be shown. World Honored One, donning armor for the benefit of sentient beings, that is donning armor to support the sky, this is also truly sentient beings are unreal, like the sky, striving to benefit sentient beings, this is also practicing asceticism, this is what is to be shown. World Honored One, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva who enters into unsurpassed perfect enlightenment for the sake of sentient beings, that is obtaining great diligence, this is the Bodhisattva obtaining unsurpassed perfect enlightenment for the benefit of sentient beings, this is also truly both sentient beings and unsurpassed enlightenment are unreal, like the sky, not being tired and not retreating, striving and working hard is donning the great armor, this is what is to be shown. World Honored One, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva who enters into unsurpassed perfect enlightenment for the benefit of sentient beings, that is donning the great armor, this is to show the meaning of obtaining great diligence mentioned above. World Honored One, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva who attains unsurpassed perfect enlightenment for the sake of the Dharma that is like the sky.
