That which is called "cutting off the stream of all dharmas" means that by abiding in that samadhi, one gains mastery over all samadhis, and thus enters into all samadhis at will without sequence, cutting off the stream of all samsaric dharmas, and cultivating the path of nirvana, which is called the "swift samadhi." "Swift" means entering beyond sequence, or like stopping a discontinuous stream. Then, what is the samadhi called "abandoning afflictions"? Abiding in that samadhi, completely removing the stains of all afflictions, that is, abiding in that samadhi, one abandons the stains of all afflictions such as attachment, therefore it is called "abandoning afflictions." Then, what is the samadhi called "manifestation"? Abiding in that samadhi, making all samadhis bright, clear, and vivid, that is, abiding in that samadhi, one clearly comprehends the meaning to be realized of all samadhis, which is called "manifestation." "Bright, clear, and vivid" are synonyms for manifestation. Then, what is the samadhi called "without seeking"? Abiding in that samadhi, not seeking any dharma, that is, abiding in that samadhi, one does not think or examine any dharma, which is called "without seeking." Abiding in that samadhi, not truly seeing any dharma as relying on a place, that is, abiding in that samadhi, one realizes that all dharmas are without inherent existence, and thus comprehends that no dharma relies on a place, which is called "without reliance." Then, what is the samadhi called "without mind"? Abiding in that samadhi, the mind does not arise, and mental factors do not function, that is, abiding in that samadhi, non-discrimination is accomplished, and the mind and mental factors no longer function.

It is called "Without Mind." What is the samadhi called "Immaculate Lamp"? It is to abide in that samadhi and make the lamp of all samadhis immaculate. That is to say, if one enters into samadhi in that samadhi, the wisdom of all samadhis will become clear, hence it is called "Immaculate Lamp." The term "lamp" here refers to knowledge. Just as a lamp illuminates and dispels darkness, making objects that should be seen clearly visible, so too, immaculate wisdom dispels the darkness of ignorance and makes the true meaning of what should be known clearly visible, hence it is said as such. What is the samadhi called "Limitless Light"? It is to abide in that samadhi and make the light limitless. That is to say, by the power of entering into samadhi in that samadhi, limitless light arises, pervading limitless realms of the world, hence it is called "Limitless Light." What is the samadhi called "Light Maker"? It is that as soon as this samadhi is obtained, it makes the light of all samadhis. That is to say, by the power of obtaining that samadhi, it causes the miraculous light of all other samadhis to appear, hence it is called "Light Maker." What is the samadhi called "Universally Manifesting"? It is that as soon as that samadhi is obtained, it makes the door of all samadhis manifest. That is to say, by the power of obtaining that samadhi, the door to enter all samadhis, since it is unborn from the beginning, "A(藏文:ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:无) is the door of all dharmas," and so on, from each letter of the alphabet, one enters the door of samadhis. Knowing this and making it clear, it is called "Universally Manifesting." What is the samadhi called "Pure and Supreme"? It is to abide in that samadhi and obtain the purity and equality of all samadhis. That is to say, obtaining the purity of the dharmadhatu, which becomes the object of practice of all samadhis, transforming into equality, it is called "Pure and Supreme." What is the samadhi called "Immaculate Light"? It is to abide in that samadhi and eliminate the defilements of all samadhis.
