They have passed away. On the eastern side, beyond countless worlds like the sands of the Ganges River, is a place called "Beyond All." Although the end of that beyond cannot be seen because the worlds are limitless, the last of the Bodhisattvas who have gone there from this world is called "Beyond All." Having said "Beyond All," it is to be understood that all the Bodhisattvas residing in the worlds up to that point have passed away. "Residing, living, and protecting" means not having completely passed beyond sorrow and still being in the continuation of the life force, therefore it is called "residing." Because the body is free from illness, it is called "living." Because there are no sudden illnesses, and like having the power of longevity, there are no obstacles to life, it is called "protecting." Alternatively, the Dharmakaya is of the nature of abiding, so abiding in the nature of the Dharmakaya is called "residing." The Sambhogakaya is for the completely purified Bodhisattvas, living by the enjoyment of Dharma and material possessions, so abiding in the form of the Sambhogakaya is called "living." The Nirmanakaya is for protecting sentient beings who are not yet completely purified, so abiding in the form of the Nirmanakaya is called "protecting." "Those Bodhisattva Mahasattvas have mostly become youths" refers to some of the Bodhisattvas who are attendants of the Bhagavan Shakyamuni Buddha. Some of them, because they are naturally less attached, have remained in celibacy from the moment they first generated the mind of enlightenment and have perfected the ten bhumis. Others, because they have attained the position of residing on the eighth Bodhisattva bhumi and beyond, are free from all effort and discrimination. Because they are worthy of being empowered as the regent of the King of Dharma, the Bhagavan Buddha, they are like a young prince of a king who is worthy of being empowered as the regent, and therefore they are called "having become youths" because they abide in the position of the regent of the Dharma.

They also serve and respect each other in this way, so we should do the same, thinking this in our hearts and generating faith. On the other hand, all the retinue of the Blessed One Shakyamuni Buddha is to make people believe that there are also Blessed Buddhas in other worlds. Son of good family, be careful in that Buddha land, because this Saha world has five degenerations, so it is taught and shown to be careful. These five degenerations are: the degeneration of afflictions, the degeneration of time, the degeneration of life, the degeneration of views, and the degeneration of beings. Among them, the degeneration of afflictions refers to: in this Saha world, afflictions such as greed, hatred, and ignorance are very serious, so many unwholesome deeds are committed, such as the ten unwholesome deeds and other evil things. Because of these reasons, beings will mostly be reborn in hell, as animals, and as hungry ghosts. Even if they are reborn as humans, they will often suffer many pains. These are all caused by the degeneration of afflictions. The degeneration of time refers to: in this Saha world, unbearable sufferings of famine often occur. Unbearable sufferings of disease often occur. Often, because beings harm each other, fighting and killing with weapons occur. Floods often occur. Fires often occur. Wind disasters often occur. The occurrence of many bad things like this is called the degeneration of time. The degeneration of life refers to: the lifespan of beings in this Saha world is uncertain. Sometimes the lifespan is very long, sometimes it is shortened to ten years. Moreover, the length of life is uncertain, some people die in the womb, some die immediately after birth, some die in their youth, some die in their prime, and some die in old age. Because life is uncertain like this, it causes sorrow and lamentation.

Pain and, suffering and, discomfort and so on appear in many ways. Thus, the life of sentient beings is uncertain, because it is the evil time of life, hence it is called the turbidity of life. The turbidity of views is wrong views and so on, the evil views of heretics, those who destroy all virtues from the root, also appear frequently in this Saha world. Because those views prevent Bodhisattvas from entering the opportunity of being without fault, hence it is called the turbidity of views. The turbidity of sentient beings is that most of the sentient beings in this Saha world have the habit of slandering, are unbelieving, disagree with the wise, are extremely condemned by the noble beings, have not become vessels of the noble Dharma, the minds of sentient beings are like saline-alkali land, and do not grow good crops, because most of them are like this, hence it is called the turbidity of sentient beings. This Saha world is endowed with these five turbidities and has great faults, therefore, the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, teach and then reveal to the Bodhisattvas who come here from other pure Buddha lands: Be careful in the Buddha land. What is the reason for that? Because the Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas born in that world are difficult to please, if they fall there, therefore, be careful in this Buddha land, this is to explain the reason for being careful. That world not only has such faults, but also the Bodhisattvas born there are difficult to please because they subdue the difficult to subdue sentient beings, are skilled in means and have great wisdom. The Buddhas teach and then reveal: Do not be ashamed of those Bodhisattvas. Serving and, respecting and, being close and offering and so on are the ways of respecting and honoring from the three doors of body, speech and mind. Are you not sick? Have you not been harmed? Is your diet comfortable? Is your body healthy? Are you happy and joyful? This means that there is no sudden illness.
