Thus, the meaning of saying "equal to space" is explained extensively by the Blessed One: All objects of complete imputation are established as twenty-four kinds of distinctions. However, since this Mahayana does not have such an establishment, it should be understood as equal to space. These twenty-four kinds of distinctions are: the establishment of directions, the establishment of shapes, the establishment of colors, the establishment of the three times, the establishment of increase and decrease, the establishment of all defilements, the establishment of purification, the establishment of birth and cessation, etc., the establishment of virtue and non-virtue, etc., the establishment of seeing and hearing, etc., the establishment of what should be known and what should not be known, etc., the establishment of maturation, etc., the establishment of being included in the three realms, the establishment of having desire, etc., the establishment of the initial generation of the mind, etc., the establishment of the ground of clearly seeing white phenomena, etc., the establishment of the fruits of stream-enterer, etc., the establishment of the grounds of Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, etc., the establishment of form and formlessness, etc., the establishment of permanence and impermanence, etc., the establishment of emptiness and non-emptiness, etc., the establishment of peace and non-peace, etc., the establishment of light and darkness, the establishment of having signs and not having signs, the establishment of what can be said and what cannot be said. Thus, Subhuti, for example, in space, there is no designated east direction, etc. With the example of space not having the establishment of directions, it is shown that this Mahayana is equal to space. Subhuti, for example, space is neither long nor short, etc., which shows that there is no establishment of shape. Subhuti, for example, space is neither blue nor yellow, etc., which shows that there is no establishment of color. Subhuti, for example, space does not have past, etc., which is the establishment of the three times.

English

It shows the meaning of non-existence. Subhuti, for example, like saying that there is no decrease in the sky, etc., this shows that there is no increase or decrease. Decrease is changing from big to small. Decrease is the interruption of continuity. Subhuti, for example, like saying that there is no all-encompassing defilement in the sky, etc., this shows that there is no establishment of all-encompassing defilement and purification. Subhuti, for example, like saying that there is no birth in the sky, etc., this shows that there is no establishment of birth and cessation, etc. Cessation is the destruction in each moment. Without end means the continuous interruption and non-appearance. Subhuti, for example, like saying that the sky is not virtuous, etc., this shows that there is no establishment of virtue and non-virtue, etc. Subhuti, for example, like saying that the sky is not visible, etc., this shows that there is no establishment of visible and audible, etc. Subhuti, for example, like saying that the sky is not knowable, etc., this shows that there is no establishment of knowable and unknowable, etc. Among them, saying that it is not knowable means that it is not the object of the five sense consciousnesses. Saying that it is not unknowable means that it is not the object of mind consciousness. Saying that it is not to be fully known means that it is not to be fully known like the truth of suffering. Saying that it is not to be realized means that it is not to be realized like the truth of cessation. Saying that it is not to be abandoned means that it is not to be abandoned like the truth of origin. Saying that it is not to be cultivated also means that it is not to be cultivated like the truth of the path. Subhuti, for example, like saying that the sky is not also a result of maturation, etc., this shows that there is no establishment of result of maturation, etc. Result of maturation refers to becoming a fruit. The nature of result of maturation refers to initially becoming a fruit. Subhuti, for example, like saying that the sky does not belong to the desire realm, etc.
