This is the necessity of composing the treatise. "Going" means the path, mainly referring to attaining all-knowingness, which is the Dharmakaya of all Buddhas. As stated in the Ornament for Clear Realization: "Having abandoned all obscurations, having attained all aspects, like opening a precious casket, it is truly said to be the Buddha." Therefore, "going" refers to the path, which is the cause of becoming a Buddha, and belongs to the category of all-knowingness, which includes the six clear realizations. Therefore, the nature of the eight clear realizations, which have the nature of cause and effect, is the object of explanation in the Prajnaparamita Sutra. Since non-Bodhisattvas cannot understand it, those with wisdom are Bodhisattvas. "Manifestly realize" is the necessity of necessity. That is to say, the object of explanation in the sutra, through hearing, is kept in mind through thinking, and the Dharma—including the ten types such as generating the mind of enlightenment and key instructions—is included in the eight clear realizations. By practicing these clear realizations, one can easily abide accordingly. Therefore, abiding accordingly in the means of obtaining the object of explanation is the necessity of composing the treatise. The relationship refers to the nature of the object to be explained and the Dharma that can explain it, as well as the nature of the result to be attained and the cause that can attain it, which is easy to understand. "Thus" means to collect as it is, which is the opportunity for the opening remarks, not a summary, but the body of the sutra itself is "Thus." "I" means personally hearing, not through the transmission between teachers. Therefore, here, after showing the opening remarks, it is the opportunity for the opening remarks, as well as the gathering of time, place, speaker, and retinue. Among them, "At one time" to "Ananda" is the opportunity for the opening remarks. Then, the summary starting from "Again," and the remaining parts such as "The Blessed One thus taught," are the body of the sutra itself. Why did the Blessed One proclaim this Dharma?

Not having taught refers to the fact that the Bhagavan has no conceptualization, and from the ultimate point of view, teaching is impossible. The appearance of teaching is due to the merit of the beings to be tamed and the power of the Bhagavan's previous aspirations. The difference between having done and having heard should be explained: one time is one time, which is for the purpose of arousing respect for this Dharma in the beings to be tamed. The Bhagavan's one-time speech clearly shows that he himself is the one who hears and holds. Because he possesses the ability to conquer the four maras, he is the Bhagavan. This is the latter explanation of the etymology. Or, the four maras are conquered by wisdom, so he is the conqueror. This is the latter explanation of the verbal etymology. Because it distinguishes, it is the conqueror. Because he possesses the Prajnaparamita, he is the Bhagavan. Or, because he manifests, he is the Bhagavan. For teaching, only the causes are acting, because it is thought to be so. That is, the perfection of qualities, namely power, beauty, fame, splendor, wisdom, and diligence, are six. Among them, power means not being subject to the power of others, because the Bhagavan's perfection of qualities has eliminated all obstacles, including habitual tendencies. The perfection of beauty is the unparalleled marks and adornments. The perfection of fame is the great fame that spreads in all directions. Whatever is the basis of many perfections is the perfection of splendor, because it makes all sentient beings in the world enjoy the bliss of transcendent perfections. The perfection of wisdom means having pure, undefiled, and unobstructed wisdom in all aspects. The perfection of diligence means never being tired of benefiting others in all aspects. Abiding means gathering separately here and guiding with sentient beings, which is the miracle. The miracle itself has three types: the miracle of supernatural abilities, knowing the minds of others, and knowing the exhaustion of outflows. Among them, the miracle of various supernatural abilities shows the transcendent and rare Dharma, and the miracle of instruction.
