Generating great compassion, the unique Dharma of the Buddha alone. What is the explanation of the eighteen qualities, and the all-knowingness? It is called the Dharmakaya. These six verses explain that the stainless Dharmas, completely pure in all aspects, the essence of Dharmata, is the Svabhavikakaya of the Buddha Bhagavan, naturally abiding because it is free from all sudden confusions. As it is said: Without the stain of all obscurations, attaining all-knowingness, like opening a precious vessel, thus the state of Buddhahood is truly shown. Thus it is said. What are those stainless Dharmas? The thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, the four immeasurables, the eight liberations, the nine successive abidings, the ten kasinas, the eight forms of mastery, the samadhi without afflictions, the knowledge of aspirations, the four analytical knowledges, the four complete purities in all aspects, the ten powers, the ten strengths, the four fearlessnesses, the three protections, the three mindfulnesses, the Dharma nature of not forgetting, the complete destruction of habits, great compassion, the eighteen unshared Dharmas of the Buddha, and the all-knowingness. Thus it is. The Dharmakaya is said to be the collection of Dharmas, whose nature is the Svabhavikakaya of the Buddhas. Or, explaining the nature body, the characteristic of Svabhava of the Dharmas, and also explaining those Dharmas, thus, it is concluded by explaining the Dharmakaya. Because the object of the previous sentence becomes the main thing, the Dharmata body is the Dharmakaya, which is the meaning of Svabhavikakaya. In this way, the praise of the Dharmakaya as "neither one nor many" will become reasonable. Others say that the body of those Dharmas themselves is the fourth body of the Buddhas, and if the four bodies are explained in other ways, it is well said.

That is not true. Because the Blessed Mother said the three words "other" in the three bodies, and other sutras also said that there are three bodies. From the point of view of Tantra, the four bodies are also another form, body, speech, and mind are the three bodies, and the fourth is the activity or equality of those themselves. If so, which body will those dharmas be included in? It will be included in the nature body, because they are free from all confusion, are the nature of clarity, and are merely the nature of dharma. The difference of those characteristics is following the stage of the cause, and is the conventional truth. Enough of elaboration. Therefore, from the first word of "the nature body is other" to "should be learned", the nature body is said. To this, the Blessed One himself explained the giving of the transcendental Dharma from all aspects of Bodhi, etc., as well as the characteristics and good examples and the included objects. I also explained meditation, entering the formless realm, entering the immeasurable realm, and the vast collection of paths, so those should be understood in detail. The characteristics of being without affliction and knowing by aspiration will also be explained there. What is the fruit of those Shravakas, and what is the fruit of the Buddha Bhagavan? The Shravaka's freedom from affliction is like this: not completely abandoning affliction itself. The Victor's affliction towards towns etc. is: cutting off the continuum of affliction, without affliction. The Buddha's knowledge by aspiration is: spontaneously accomplished, abandoning attachment, unimpeded, permanent, and able to answer all questions. These two verses said it. The Shravaka's freedom from affliction is that, for any sentient beings such as towns etc., if seeing them would cause affliction to arise, they prevent seeing them, but not manifest affliction. The Tathagata's freedom from affliction is that, even if there is seeing, they cut off the continuum of their affliction, but not seeing. The Buddhas' knowledge by aspiration is spontaneously accomplished, because there is no discrimination.

Not having attachment is because of not having dependence. Not having obstruction is because of not having obstruction in all places. Constantly abiding is because of constantly abiding in the equality of mind itself. Because it is able to be the response to all questions, it answers all questions. For the Shravakas, it is a negation. After the continuum has fully matured, to whomever and whenever the action is beneficial, to them it appears. Because it performs benefit for them. The so-called "that" refers to being enlightened by nature. At that time, what appears is the appearance of the emanation body. Why does everything not appear to everyone? Just as when the king of gods sends down rain, bad seeds do not grow. Although the Buddhas appear, those without merit do not experience goodness. Therefore, because the activity is vast, it is said that the Buddha is pervasive. Because that itself is inexhaustible, it is also said to be constant. The vastness of the activity is that it performs various benefits according to their capacity. The so-called "that itself" refers to the activity. The so-called "because it is inexhaustible" means because it is inseparable. Furthermore, from the second word "action" to "should be learned," the Sambhogakaya is taught. Here, mentioning Bodhisattva is to exclude others (non-Bodhisattvas). Mentioning Mahasattva is to exclude non-Aryas. The so-called "supreme" is not according to the literal meaning, but according to the intention. Because of enjoying the supreme joy, delight, great joy, and bliss, it is said that whoever enjoys it in that way is the Sambhogakaya because they have the ability to do so. The author of the treatise, relying on this, said: "The thirty-two marks and eighty minor marks are considered the Sambhogakaya of the Muni." Why is it the Sambhogakaya? Because it is close to enjoying the Mahayana, that is, this body fully enjoys the Mahayana. The Bodhisattva fully enjoys with what they have attained.
