It is discrimination. That is: If the object of grasping does not exist as such, then by what do they grasp? Thus, those who grasp, their nature is the characteristic of emptiness. Thus it is said. The nature of grasping means that the nature of grasping is the nature of sentient beings. Those means the discriminations of grasping. Whatever a Bodhisattva should take is the aspect of entering, and whatever should be abandoned here is the opposite aspect of this. Relying on the aspect of entering into those, the first discrimination of what is grasped is from "those who do not turn back" etc., up to what is said up to the top of the antidote aspect. The antidote is the Prajnaparamita that does not turn into the perception of duality and does not turn into the perception of non-duality. Relying on the opposite aspect, the second discrimination of what is grasped is from "then the venerable one" etc., up to what is said between "manifestly and completely awaken to the Dharma of non-discrimination." Here, the Dharmas included in the three realms, and the Dharmas of the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas are the opposite aspects. The antidote to that discrimination is non-discrimination. The rest comes along the way. The first discrimination of grasping, relying on the substantial existence of sentient beings, is that of ordinary beings, because they have not abandoned it, and not that of noble ones, because they have abandoned it, and because it is the stage of what should be abandoned by seeing. From "then the venerable Sharadvatiputra" etc., from "acting on the essence" to "acting on the Prajnaparamita." Here, for example, countless, innumerable, and immeasurable sentient beings should be completely liberated from suffering. The antidote to that is that those sentient beings are extremely unattainable, etc. The rest comes along the way. The second discrimination of grasping, relying on the imputed existence of sentient beings, is that of the noble ones, because those Hearers and Solitary Buddhas have not abandoned it, and ordinary beings have it from the beginning.

Therefore. Then, what the Blessed One said, starting from "Bhagavan" and so on, up to "that is nowhere." Among them, for example, Bodhisattva Mahasattva, and its antidote side, such as "The Blessed One does not exist," and so on. The rest is mentioned incidentally. These four kinds of discrimination are also nine kinds, as it is said. So, first of all, what are these nine kinds? Self-nature and lineage, as well as, accomplishment of true achievement, object of knowledge without confusion, dissimilar aspects and antidote, one's own realization and action, the fruit of that action, the support of the category of entry, this discrimination is established as nine. It is said that action and the fruit of that action mean action and that action and fruit. This discrimination refers to the first discrimination of what is taken. It is established as nine kinds because it is established as nine kinds through the gate of the difference of the nine kinds of objects taken by its self-nature and so on. Relying on the category of entry, among them, first of all, the nine, including self-nature, are because they are what the Bodhisattva should take. Among them, first of all, in terms of the discrimination of self-nature and its antidote, what is said from "Then, Venerable Subhuti" and so on, to "and does not even think so." All the discourses on the antidote side are mentioned incidentally, and finally, with "That is the Blessed One Bodhisattva" and so on, the discriminations are explained in meaning. Thus, the self-nature of the Bodhisattva is the generation of the mind of enlightenment itself. The generation of the mind of enlightenment itself is self-nature. Therefore, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, because of the generation of the mind of enlightenment itself, the Hearer's stage and the Solitary Buddha's stage should be delayed, and it is thought that it is close to the omniscient itself, this is the discrimination of self-nature. After this, with the eight sentences such as "This sutra is like this," the antidote side is directly explained. The aspect of lineage and so on.
