From "bestowing teachings" and so on, to what was said between "not directly realizing the fruit of the solitary Buddha." Enemies are the dharmas that obstruct. The practice of subduing and overcoming them with the four immeasurables is like this, O Subhuti, from "like this" and so on, to what was said between "not directly realizing even such abiding." With whatever practice one engages in emptiness and so on, one does not remain there like a bird in the sky. Like this, O Subhuti, from "like this" and so on, to what was said between "attaining." Because of the great aspiration not to fully ripen the Buddha's dharmas and not to directly realize the ultimate limit, that non-direct realization is a practice according to its power. Like this, O Subhuti, from "like this" and so on, to what was said between "to be completely examined in this way." The uncommon practice of the Hearers and so on is not completely abandoning all sentient beings. Asked, "Blessed One," from "Blessed One" and so on, to what was said between "not directly realizing the ultimate limit." Grasping at "I" and "mine" is attachment. In order to have sentient beings who practice that abandon it, having directly realized perfect enlightenment, I shall teach the Dharma. This is the practice of non-attachment. Like this, O Subhuti, from "like this" and so on, to what was said between "not like a solitary Buddha." Having directly realized perfect enlightenment, how shall I liberate sentient beings from the fault of practicing with attachment to my Dharma? I shall do it in that way. This is the practice of non-attachment. Like this, O Subhuti, from "like this" and so on, to what was said between "will become completely perfect." Having directly realized perfect enlightenment, how shall sentient beings be liberated from the fault of practicing with signs? I shall do it in that way. This is the practice of signlessness. Like this, O Subhuti, from "like this" and so on, to what was said between "will become completely perfect." Having directly realized perfect enlightenment, how shall sentient beings

Thus acting will liberate one from the faults of engaging in aspirations, this is the practice without aspiration. From "Subhuti, furthermore" etc., to all that is said between "that is not the place." The word "that" is connected with non-retrogression, because it can indicate and know, therefore it is the practice of that sign. Emptiness etc. should also be kept in mind, and all sentient beings should not be completely abandoned, this is the answer to the question. From "Subhuti, furthermore" etc., to all that is said between "it is not pressing on weak ground." The request says: "Bhagavan," here Bodhisattva Mahasattva means one who has generated the mind of enlightenment. Asking: "Are there such characteristics of non-retrogression?" The Bhagavan taught, from "The Bhagavan taught" etc., to "not being taken away by the world" is the answer. From the many who generate the mind of enlightenment, the answer to the question of the very few who do not regress should be understood as before. The practice of the very few among the very few, because they are those few, is therefore immeasurable. Just like "a daughter with a small belly is not without a belly." Thus the commentary on the Ornament of Clear Realization is complete. Composed by Ratnakarashanti. The chapter on the complete clear realization of the Ornament of Clear Realization, that is the fourth chapter. Fifth chapter. Explanation of the Peak Clear Realization. Peak Clear Realization. Its signs and increase, as well as stability and all minds abiding, etc., should be used to explain the previously explained objects. Among them, first is the sign, relying on this, it is said: "Even in dreams, all dharmas, are seen as dreams, etc., the practice reaches the peak, established as twelve signs.", as it is said. The signs of the peak clear realization are twelve in number, namely: even in dreams, all dharmas are seen as dreamlike. The word "etc." indicates that even in dreams, for the lower enlightenment and the three realms, one should act as it is said in the sutras.

Not generating desire, and so on. Among these, each word "also" refers to the first seven. Among these, seeing in a dream that all phenomena are the same as dreams, etc., is the first sign. Not generating desire for inferior enlightenment and the three realms in a dream, etc., is the second sign. Seeing the Tathagata in the midst of the retinue in a dream, hearing his teachings and practicing them, etc., is the third sign. In a dream, the Tathagata rises into the sky and teaches the Dharma, and displays miracles and wonders, etc., is the fourth sign. Seeing towns and cities destroyed and burned in a dream, etc., not being afraid, and knowing that the three realms are like a dream even after waking up, etc., is the fifth sign. Seeing pretas and hells in a dream, and thinking, "How can I ensure that there are no three lower realms in my Buddha-field in every way? I will start practicing now," is the sixth sign. If one sees towns, etc., burning in a dream or while awake, and if I have been prophesied to attain unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, then at this moment, may this fire be extinguished! Thus, one makes a blessing of truth. If the fire is extinguished, etc., that is the seventh sign here. When men and women, non-humans, bless one, the Bodhisattva thinks: How do I have a mind with a superior aspiration for perfect and complete enlightenment? How can I, with the truth of not having the mind of a Shravaka, etc., make these non-humans among men and women depart? Thus, one makes a blessing of truth. If they depart by the blessing of truth, that is a sign here. Then, having departed by the blessing of Mara, but the pride of manifestation of having been prophesied even though not prophesied is a meaningless cause. At that time, its departure is not a sign. Thus, the words of Mara also have many forms. Because the pride of manifestation of having been prophesied arises for one who has not been prophesied, it is a cause of decline.
