That is the sixteenth sign on that very thing. Sixteen moments like that, the wise abide in the path of seeing, are signs of non-retrogression. That is called the conclusion. Having made the power of abiding in the path of meditation, the path of meditation is profound. Thus it is said, the sutra speaks of the path of meditation with profound words, the many words are repeated connections. Where does one abide to make all dharmas complete? Everything said from "Subhuti's question" to "Please explain well." What is that profundity itself? It is "profound emptiness" and so on. Everything said from "The Blessed One's teaching" to "Profound, profound, those are." What is the profundity of emptiness and so on? That profundity is liberation from the extremes of superimposition and denigration. From "Tathagatagarbha is without form" to "There is no enlightenment," is liberation from the extreme of superimposition. From "Not other than form" to "Even apart from enlightenment, there is no Tathagatagarbha," is liberation from the extreme of denigration. Everything said from "That question" and so on, to "That is extremely rare." What is meditation itself? Repeatedly thinking, measuring, and determining are the path of meditation. Having gone to a solitary place, discriminating the determined meaning with the wisdom arising from hearing by four kinds of reasoning is thinking. Reasoning is the reasoning of dependence, the reasoning of function, the reasoning of establishment, and the reasoning of the nature of reality. Then, how the meaning of what is thought reaches nine ultimate aspects is quiescence, which is measuring. Then, the nature of analyzing those nine meanings, as well as well analyzing, completely understanding, and completely examining, is insight, which is determining understanding. The third, for those very ones, is the repeated of repeatedly. This is the nature of the path of meditation. Everything said from "The Blessed One's teaching" and so on, to "Measure and understand." If so, then what is the object of meditation? The division of discernment.

That which is related to the path of seeing, namely the path and the path of meditation. It is accepted because it is constant. As it is shown, like "mine," etc., even between "cause," it does not approach closely, as it is said. To abide in that is to be in accordance with the aspect of determination. What should be learned is the path of seeing. What should be cultivated is the path of meditation. Likewise, to cultivate, to contemplate, to thoroughly examine, and to strive diligently are, in order, the stages of warmth, peak, forbearance, and supreme dharma. To exert effort is the path of seeing. To endeavor is the path of meditation. The remaining text is the benefit. To accept as nine types by way of categories is the path of meditation. Furthermore, it is said that it becomes nine types by the distinction of the dissimilar aspects of that. How is that? Small, medium, and large, etc., by the distinctions of small of small, etc., namely small of small, small of medium, small of large, medium of small, medium of medium, medium of large, large of small, large of medium, large of large, this order itself is the justification for the nine aspects of the opposing category. When those arise, by the logic of reversing the order, the dissimilar aspects of large of large, large of medium, large of small, medium of large, medium of medium, medium of small, small of large, small of medium, small of small are abandoned. Just as one first cleanses the large stains on clothing and then cleanses the small stains, so it is with the mind as well. From here down to the eight great sentences, "Many Sugatas," etc., the upper half speaks of the individual who is separated from the Perfection of Wisdom, not focusing on the aggregates, etc., the nature of the dissimilar aspect, the eight types such as large of large. Although the giving, etc., that is associated with that is great, the result is small. The lower half is what was spoken by the Bhagavan.

Those who have gone before spoke of eight aspects of the antidote side, such as the smallest of the small of the path of meditating on the union with the Perfection of Wisdom. Among those, even though the only one, giving, etc., is small, it is because the result is great. Among them, the eighth of the unfavorable aspects is the conceptualization that arises from manifest engagement, which is the medium of the small. The medium of the great of the antidote side is the non-objectification of manifest engagement. The ninth of the unfavorable aspects is only the conceptualization of manifest engagement, which is the smallest of the small. The greatest of the great of the antidote side is the non-objectification of manifest engagement. The two petitioned, "Bhagavan, the absence of manifest engagement," from what was said between "immeasurable merit will increase." Because it is the occasion of immeasurable, countless, and limitless, therefore, Subhuti petitioned, "What is the difference between each of those?" The Bhagavan replied, "That which cannot be measured," up to that point, he spoke of the distinction of definitive words. From this point onwards, with three questions and answers, by the synonym of emptiness, all phenomena are inexhaustible, countless, immeasurable, and limitless, in the same way, it should be accomplished, therefore, Subhuti petitioned, "Therefore, those different meanings and letters." Meaningless, because there is no difference in emptiness. Letterless, because there is no difference in meaning. With just this, all debaters are completely established. The Bhagavan said, "It is so, it is so," from what was said between "until nirvana." "It is so, it is so," is a promise, referring to ultimate truth. Speaking from the unspeakable, although the meaning is not different, it is spoken from the door of difference. The answer to the debater, he spoke of the inexhaustible, etc. By showing this, showing is compassion. Its similar cause is this explanation, inexhaustible, etc.
