Returning. The mirage is because there is no specific accumulation of water. Illusion is because there is no specific reason for it. The absence of all afflictions is because there is no specific nature of affliction. The absence of complete purification is because there are no specific sentient beings with all afflictions. The absence of attachment is like the sky. The absence of elaboration is because all elaborations have been completely destroyed. The absence of arrogance is because all arrogant thoughts have been completely destroyed. The absence of wavering is because of abiding in the realm of Dharma. This is called the aspect of all-knowingness. By the power of the wisdom of knowing the path, it is said: Cause and path and suffering, And cessation in order, That speech eight and seven, And five and sixteen are proclaimed. Thus it is said. The cause is accumulation. Therefore, here, the accumulation and path are mentioned first because they are the means to the result, while suffering and cessation are the result. Their aspects are, in order, eight, seven, five, and sixteen, as stated in the sutra. Among them, the eight of accumulation are: detachment from desire, non-abiding, peace, absence of desire, absence of hatred, absence of ignorance, absence of affliction, and absence of sentient beings. Detachment from desire is because the reason for desire, such as form, is not perceived, and the reason for desire is attachment. Abiding is attachment and craving, and because those are absent, non-abiding is because all phenomena such as form are without object. Peace is because all phenomena such as form are manifestly and completely awakened into suchness without perversion. Absence of desire is because there is no desire. Absence of hatred is because there is no fault. Absence of ignorance is because of destroying darkness. Absence of affliction is because of the absence of complete conceptualization. Absence of sentient beings is because there are no specific sentient beings. The truth of the path is immeasurable, not connected with the two extremes, not different, and without holding as supreme.

And, non-discrimination, immeasurable, and non-attachment. Immeasurable because there is no complete arising from all dharmas. Not connected with the two extremes because there is no clinging to the two extremes. Non-different because all dharmas are of the nature of non-difference and because of quiescence. No supreme clinging because the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas have completely transcended karma. Non-discrimination because there is no clinging to discrimination. Immeasurable because there is no clinging to the measure of all dharmas. Non-attachment because all dharmas are equal to the nature of space. The five sufferings are impermanence, suffering, emptiness, selflessness, and signlessness. Impermanence is because all dharmas such as form do not perish, and not perishing is the same as non-existence, therefore it is impermanent, and the meaning of non-existence is the meaning of impermanence. Suffering is because there is no effort to seek all dharmas, and seeking is enjoyment. Emptiness is because there is no clinging to the nature of all dharmas. Selflessness is because there is no manifest clinging to all dharmas. Signlessness is because all dharmas have no signs. The sixteen aspects of cessation, from the cessation of inner emptiness because there is no clinging to inner dharmas, to the cessation of the emptiness of the nature of non-things because there is no clinging to the emptiness of the nature of non-things, are the aspects of the wisdom of the path. By the power of all-aspects-wisdom, omniscient, With three distinctions, in accordance with the truth of the path, from the mindfulness onwards, to the final aspect of Buddhahood, for disciples, Bodhisattvas and Buddhas, respectively, are thirty-seven, thirty-four, and thirty-nine. Thus it is said, for all-aspects-wisdom, from the mindfulness onwards, to the aspect of Buddhahood, there are one hundred and ten aspects, from the perfection of mindfulness onwards, to the perfection of the Buddha.

Ultimately, whatever forms the Buddha himself possesses are called those forms. The omniscient one himself, with the distinctions of the three forms, corresponds to the truths of the paths of the Shravakas, Bodhisattvas, and Buddhas, respectively, as thirty-seven, thirty-four, and thirty-nine in order. Among these, the aspects of enlightenment rely on the path of the Shravakas, and the three doors of liberation, the eight liberations, the nine successive abidings in meditative absorption, the four truths, and the ten perfections rely on the path of the Bodhisattvas, and the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, the eighteen unshared qualities, the Tathagata himself, the self-born himself, and the Buddha himself rely on the path of the Buddha himself. Here, the phrase "because of completely transcending all dharmas" means because of completely transcending the dharmas of the Shravakas and so on. Because he has spoken truthfully about how the dharmas exist, he is the Tathagata himself. How is that? All the utterances of the Buddha are because of suchness. Because it has arisen, it is arising, it is the meaning of having arisen. The term "self-born" means that one desires oneself, and therefore it arises, so it is self-born. How is that? Because it is the very mastery over all dharmas. How is it the Buddha himself? Because of directly realizing all dharmas, that is, because of being the all-knowing one in all aspects. If all the aspects are combined into one, there are one hundred and seventy-three aspects. Now, because the combination is to be spoken of, if even hearing the name of the Bhagavan is difficult to obtain, then in order to show how to combine well, (the sutra says:) Revered the Buddhas, Generated roots of virtue from that, Possessing the protection of virtuous friends, This is a vessel for listening. Relying on the Buddha and universally questioning, Practicing generosity and morality, etc., Accepting and holding, etc., The noble ones consider it a vessel. Thus it is said, Having revered the Buddhas of the past, And having generated roots of virtue in them, Virtuous
