Because those three are also unattainable, etc., it extensively shows the determination to become the benefit of sentient beings. The Mahayana is like the sky, coming, going, and dwelling are unattainable, because there is no movement, etc. Movement, shaking, and labor are effort, because there are none of those, so it is the spontaneous accomplishment of determination. For the Mahayana, the prior limit is also unattainable, etc., because of the equality of the three times, etc. Likewise, because of transcending the limits of the equality of the three times, this Mahayana is extremely determined. When the determination of attainment is spoken, in this regard, first, for the Mahayana, with the accomplishment of Bodhi itself and the equality of the three times, the praise called Mahayana is proclaimed. After that, it is what was requested by whom. Here, what is to be spoken of the Prajnaparamita, is not the Mahayana. Therefore, the two are inseparable, it is what the Bhagavan said from "in accordance" etc., until "the guide", all the objects of Bodhisattvas are shown to be emptiness, thinking that showing emptiness itself is also for the Prajnaparamita. How does Subhuti attain all-knowingness? He spoke briefly in twelve sentences. To this, Bhagavan, thus the Bodhisattva Mahasattva prior limit etc. is the first. Because form is completely boundless etc. is the second. Form Bodhisattva etc. is the third. Bhagavan, thus etc. is the fourth. The Bodhisattva himself also completely etc. is the fifth. How I etc. is the sixth. Bhagavan, thus all the phenomena of no self-nature etc. is the seventh. Who is the unmanifest form seeing etc. is the eighth. Bhagavan, who is the unmanifest that is etc. is the ninth. With the unmanifest of the unmanifest etc. is the tenth.

《Different from Bodhisattva》 and so on are the eleventh. 《If it is taught in this way》 and so on are the twelfth. Therefore, the meaning of these should be stated: the object to be obtained and the Bodhisattva who is the obtainer, and the Prajnaparamita that obtains, and the omniscience and all dharmas to be obtained are non-objective, and it is obtained through that, which is the condensed meaning. The meaning of the limbs should be stated: the Bodhisattva has neither attainment nor acquisition in the three times, which is the first meaning. Those with boundaries will go to where they are to go, but the infinite sky and so on are not, and the Bodhisattva is also infinite, how can it be obtained, which is the second meaning. If the Bodhisattva is not form and so on, and there is nothing in anything, how can it be obtained, which is the third meaning. Thus, since it and the Prajnaparamita are not objective in any way, there will be no instruction, and from what will it be obtained if it is not there, which is the fourth meaning. The term Bodhisattva is just a name, and there is no meaning, so there is no instruction or attainment for it, which is the fifth meaning. Just as the term self-self is not manifestly established, so if the Bodhisattva is also like that, from what will there be instruction or attainment, which is the sixth meaning. If all dharmas are also the nature of non-things, then there is no instruction or attainment, which is the seventh meaning. Here, the Bodhisattva is form and so on. There are three types of these: the completely imputed form and so on, the discriminated form and so on, and the nature of reality form and so on. Here, whatever is completely imputed and discriminated is manifestly established, because there is a cause. Whatever is the nature of reality form and so on is not manifestly established and not manifestly fabricated, because it always remains as it is. Here, what is not manifestly established, what is it?

English

Then, there is nothing. Because there is no pervasive calculation as it is in its own nature, and no differentiation as it appears, this is the eighth meaning. Whatever is not manifestly established, that is not form, etc. However, it is the dharma-nature of form, etc., this is the ninth meaning. If the dharma-nature of form, etc., is also the self-nature of form, etc., then, when a Bodhisattva has not manifestly established it, how can he teach the Prajnaparamita that has not been manifestly established? Because the order is materiality and non-expressibility, this is the tenth meaning. A Bodhisattva does not observe anything other than what is manifestly established, this is the eleventh meaning. When eleven aspects of non-observation are shown in this way, the mind has an object of focus at the place shown, that is the meaning. That which does not shrink back, that is, having abandoned the object of focus, does not shrink back elsewhere, because its nature is to waver. Not contracting, that is, having become focused on that object of focus. It also does not shrink back elsewhere, because its nature is vast. The mind does not become contracted, that is, the mind is without wavering and focus, and becoming contracted is contrary to this, the order is shrinking back and excitement. Among these, shrinking back is the mind sinking, that is, dullness. Excitement is remembering an object to be desired, becoming a part of desire, it is a near affliction. In order to pacify these, the mind will not be outwardly distracted. Thus it is said: In order to see the qualities of meditative concentration, do not delight in it, but pacify it. In order to see the faults of distraction, also pacify excitement. Thus it is said. If effort is abandoned, then one will think: These also exist in this. Fear arises from abandonment, that is fear. To avert it with effort is to not fear. Effort, fabrication, and diligence, these are synonyms. After that, having abandoned the naturally accomplished entry, fear arises towards fabricated things, that is panic. Therefore, for abandoning fabrication, there is no panic. Even for extremely naturally accomplished meditative concentration, there will be no panic, with just this much one can obtain the naturally non-elaborate meditative concentration.
