The great small, the great medium, and the great great. Similarly, the faith in one's own and others' benefit, and the faith in others' benefit. Faith is belief and desire, the nature of trust and wish. What is faith in? It is in the actions of not questioning and reciting the Bhagavati Mother as taught in the sutras, and in the offerings from flowers, etc., to the end of lamps. The validity of the merit arising from actions and offerings is also as stated in the sutras. Giving relics to a stupa of seven precious substances, or giving them to a container of seven precious substances, the merit of offering to this, the most abundant merit, is the first. As stated in the sutras, Bodhi is difficult to realize for the lazy and those without diligence, and those with inferior faith, and those with inferior thoughts, and those with corrupt wisdom, know this. The remainder is the same, one should realize that the merit is more excellent, it is the second. For the Bhagavati Mother, repeatedly performing actions and offerings, and the remaining actions of properly attending to the Dana Paramita, etc., contained therein, the merit is more excellent, it is the third. Not being separated from the mind of omniscience itself, this is called difference. The remainder is the same as the third, building a stupa of seven precious substances one yojana and making offerings in this way, from the merit of which the merit increases the most, this is called the fourth. The fifth and so on are all the same as the fourth, the difference is that the merit is superior in its faith. The stupa filling the entire Jambudvipa as stated in the fourth, this is called the fifth. The world of the four continents, this is called the sixth. One thousand, this is called the seventh. Two thousand, this is called the eighth. Three thousand great thousands of worlds, this is called the ninth. These nine are for one's own benefit, in order to know that with this merit I will accomplish very many qualities. After that, the nine are for one's own and others' benefit, in order to know that my merit will make the benefit of oneself and others very great. The Bhagavati Mother is a noble being.
