Furthermore, its characteristic is: whatever the nature of anything is, its characteristic is also the same. For example, although Bodhi is emptiness, it can realize various manifestations in the mundane world. Similarly, this path of practice is also abiding, that is its meaning. Then, someone might say that only achieving Bodhi can be taken as an example, and what is not achieved cannot be taken as an example. To show this point, it is said: "The mind is enlightened by the former." and so on. Bodhi refers to the non-discriminating wisdom that manifests all dharmas in every way. Here, it is understood that the nature of the path of practice is the collection of various discriminations. Because various discriminations cannot exist simultaneously, it is impossible to gather them simultaneously. It is also impossible for them to arise separately in sequence, because each one is a cause, which would lead to the fault of others being meaningless. This refutation is pacified by fame. "The mind is enlightened by the former, not by the different latter." It means that the previous moment of the mind in the path of practice cannot generate Bodhi, because it would lead to the fault of the later moments being meaningless. It is also not generated by the later moment, because it would lead to the fault of the previous practice being meaningless. Therefore, generating Bodhi is very difficult, this is a refutation. "With the analogy of the lamp, it transforms until Bodhi." This is the answer. Its meaning is like this: for example, the first moment of the lamp does not burn the tree, because it would lead to the fault of the later moments being meaningless. It is also not burned by the later moment, because it would lead to the fault of the previous moments being meaningless. However, the continuity of the lamp can burn, so the example of the lamp is used to illustrate that the path of practice also generates Bodhi through continuity. By answering the refutation of the previous generation of the path, the distinction is made. Now, the nature of the irreversible Bodhisattva Sangha is declared. "The profound Dharma nature has eight aspects, birth and cessation, suchness and knowable, knowledge and action are non-dual, skillful means are profound." It means that Dharma nature is the of all dharmas.

It is self-nature. Which eight aspects are profound because they are cultivated in contradiction to each other? Because that is where the Bodhisattva of the practitioner abides on the path of cultivation, therefore the eight aspects of the object of the irreversible Bodhisattva's Sangha are profound. As it is said in the sutra, "What and what," such as "birth," etc. Birth is profound, although it is non-dual, it has dependent origination from the beginning of samsara. Cessation is also profound, although it is unborn, there is cessation. Thus, suchness is also profound, although it is its self-nature, it is cultivated. Knowable is also profound, although there is no knowledge, it exists in that way. Knowing is also profound, although there is nothing to know, there is knowing. Conduct is also profound, although all dharmas are inactive, the conduct of enlightenment is practiced. Non-duality is also profound, although it is the imputation of duality, it is clearly ascertained in the non-dual mind. Skillful means is also profound, although beings are not accomplished, it constantly and continuously benefits all beings. All of these are not contradictory, because they equally rely on the ultimate truth and the conventional truth. It is the learning of the irreversible Sangha. Now it is "equality of existence and peace." In order to explain the brief instruction, it is said: "Because all dharmas are like dreams, existence and peace are not distinguished, there are no disputes such as no action, the answer is only laughter." It means that existence refers to the appearance of the mind in the form of the three realms together with afflictions. Peace refers to the appearance of the mind in the form of the three bodies of Dharma, enjoyment, and emanation, which is without afflictions. In particular, it is called the perfectly enlightened Buddha. There is no difference in them, it is indistinguishable, it is the nature of merely appearing in each of their minds blessed by emptiness, therefore it is the meaning of common wisdom. If that is the case, why? Because all dharmas are like dreams. The appearance of the mind of the self-nature of the waking state is like a dream. A dream is when one is close to the object of focus in the state of sleep, the appearance of hands and elephants, etc.
