Now, these are the discriminations of ignorance. Discriminations about the aggregates, discriminations of manifest clinging to name and form, discriminations of clinging to the two extremes, discriminations of not knowing complete defilement and purification, discriminations of not abiding in the noble path, discriminations of objects, discriminations of self and so forth, discriminations of pure birth and so forth, these are the nine discriminations that abide in completely defiled objects. Similarly, discriminations about the meaning of the aggregates, discriminations about the sense bases, discriminations about the elements, discriminations about dependent arising, discriminations about the meaning of emptiness, discriminations about the perfections, discriminations about the path of seeing, discriminations about the path of meditation, discriminations about the path of no more learning, these are also nine discriminations that rely on the objects of the opponent's side. Self and so forth are independent entities, similarly, aggregates and so forth are the doors of dependence. With the support of substance and imputation, it is considered that there are two aspects of grasping. It is said. There are also two types of grasping discriminations, namely, abiding in the nature of substance and abiding in the nature of imputation. The nature of substance will also be explained, with the distinctions of autonomy and so on, the nine types themselves are the objects of discrimination, and each is nine types. What is established as the nature of imputation is also based on the aggregates and so on, and the nine types themselves are the objects of discrimination, and there are also nine types. This is what is said, that is, "similarly". Just as the discriminated objects are each of nine types, so too are the grasping discriminations. That is, discriminating the self as autonomous, discriminating the self as solitary, discriminating the self as a cause, discriminating the self as an agent and so on, discriminating the self as completely defiled, discriminating the self as the basis of freedom from desire, discriminating the self as the basis of the path of seeing, discriminating the self as the basis of the path of meditation, discriminating the self as the basis of having done the meaning, this is substance.

There are nine types of conceptualization based on inherent nature. The conceptualization of imputation on aggregates, the conceptualization of imputation on sources, the conceptualization of imputation on elements, the conceptualization of imputation on dependent arising, the conceptualization of imputation on purification, the conceptualization of imputation on the path of seeing, the conceptualization of imputation on the path of meditation, the conceptualization of imputation on the path of distinction, and the conceptualization of imputation on the path of no more learning. These are the three types of conceptualization that abide in the nature of imputation. Having previously briefly indicated the holding, now is the time to explain it extensively, so it is said: The mind not shrinking, etc., shows selflessness, etc., abandoning the opposing side of it, is the holding in all aspects. Among them, mind refers to the mind of the student. Not shrinking means not being afraid to generate the accumulation of merit and wisdom. The word 'etc.' indicates how not to become inferior. Similarly, being skilled in the correct method, being skilled in selflessness, shows awakening in selflessness. Selflessness means being empty of the apprehended and the apprehender of imputation, but it is not complete annihilation. The word 'etc.' also shows both the emptiness of merit. What is the difference between them? It is said: Abandoning the opposing side of it. Among them, the opposing aspects of those of merit and wisdom are stinginess, etc., and ignorance, etc. Abandoning those means abandoning those opposing aspects, thereby showing the accumulation of merit and wisdom. Those who increase them, the excellence of the person who is free from the faults of stinginess, etc., is the meaning of the virtuous friend who perfectly holds them well. Now, the basis of practice is to be spoken of, practice refers to the conduct of the basis of enlightenment. The basis is the foundation. That is to say: There are six laws of realization, antidote and abandonment, those completely rely on, wisdom and compassion are complete, the student's uncommon nature, the order of benefiting others, and wisdom without effort.
