Sixth. The nature of mind with views is the opposite of it (giving), because it is attached to things. Its antidote is not to look at lovely and unlovely things, because if that is the case, it is possible to completely abandon internal and external things. Mentioning "sentient beings are pure" and so on, this order of speaking shows that the former pāramitā is the cause of the purity of the latter. The so-called "without views" is a synonym for "not looking." The rest is easy to understand. Attachment to a person is because it (the ego) is the reason for the arising of stinginess, becoming an obstacle to the giving of morality. Its antidote is to realize that one's own mind, etc., is without self, because in this way one can abandon the evil morality of the nature of stinginess, and thus perfectly accomplish the giving of the nature of morality. "All dharmas" and so on are mentioned. "Without self" is because it is one's own nature of selflessness, and because it is not blessed by oneself, and because it is not a cause, it is not suitable as an object of the blesser, and permanence is also because it is not a cause, just as it was said before, that is what is thought. "Yama brla" means becoming the control of other causes. "That is non-existent" means that if one looks at sentient beings, the main cause of stinginess will not exist, so it is also impossible for it to exist, that is what is thought. The so-called "those who have a perception of self" and so on, it is said like this: if there is self-grasping, because of attachment to the self, one will grasp at the things that accomplish one's own happiness, and from that, attachment to it will also arise, so how can there be a constant mind of giving for those who are mentally dull? Because the opposing side has power, it will strongly suppress it, that is what is said. Not seeing the faults of stinginess is because if there is stinginess, one cannot bear to wrongly accomplish begging and so on, so stinginess will arise. Its antidote is to realize that stinginess is incompatible, so one will think that all beggars are spiritual friends, and with stinginess

In order to correctly accomplish the giving that is a branch of patience through non-separation, it is said, "The miserly," and so forth. The term "miserly" is synonymous with "possessing miserliness." The phrase "will be born in the realm of the hungry ghosts" means will be born, because the ripening of being deficient in resources and so forth is the realm of the hungry ghosts. The term "poor" is the result that corresponds to the cause. The phrase "having known" means, in this way, having known that due to the fault of miserliness, beings become poor in the realms of humans and hungry ghosts. The phrase "will be inclined to giving" means from the aspect of action, in order to accomplish everything for all seekers. The phrase "generously give" means from the aspect of intention, because one has the intention of giving that does not become an obstacle to all harm. Therefore, it is said, "The four continents," and so forth. The phrase "like ashes of spittle" means that like ashes of spittle, one does not cling to the continents adorned with jewels. The phrase "giving will bring joy" is because one sees those seekers satisfied after giving to them. Completely dedicating to another vehicle is because that contradicts the intention of giving with great and excellent diligence done for the sake of oneself and others. The antidote to that is completely dedicating to supreme enlightenment, by which the perfection of giving, which is the nature of constant diligence, will be accomplished, therefore it is said, "Bodhisattva," and so forth. The phrase "may this become giving" means thinking that by this giving, may all sentient beings belonging to the three realms attain flawless perfections. Then what does one do? It is said, "That also," and so forth, that accumulation of merit accomplished in that way is also completely dedicated in order to purify the realm, by which that giving will become inexhaustible, this is the remaining part. Seeking the enjoyment of visible and invisible existence is for that complete

Because contemplating the basis of Bodhicitta contradicts the perfection of generosity. To refute that, it is said, "Having given alms," and so on. Abiding in things is to seek visible results. Maturation refers to the result of giving alms related to the afterlife. The so-called wise person is one who has the ability to discern, which is synonymous with not being distracted from contemplating omniscience. The so-called giving up everything is because the maturation of giving is also completely dedicated to sentient beings alone. The so-called becoming many and immeasurable is because even a small object of giving has a great intention of giving. Because all flawless enjoyments and resources will arise, it is many. Also, because it will not be exhausted even in the nirvana without aggregates, it is immeasurable. It is thought that the result will become a treasury of space, etc. Or even a small object, as long as there is no difference in the intention of giving, it is the supreme perfection of generosity. Merely contemplating with joy can overwhelm the merit arising from giving up all the possessions of all sentient beings, which manifest at different times. It is said, "In the three realms," and so on. The so-called "should take the imputation" means that the imputation should be taken closely. In reality, it is because it is impossible for such an aspect to exist in all sentient beings.
