In order to separate. The perfection of beautiful form is the source of wisdom other than that, therefore it is mirror-like wisdom. The nature of the Bhagavan is the same characteristic as this wisdom. Fame and glory are the wisdom of equality, because they are completely separated by precious qualities such as compassion, and are able to benefit all beings through patience, therefore they are the true basis of all perfect fame and are endowed with glory. The perfection of wisdom is discriminating wisdom, because its nature is to completely and truly cut off all things. The perfection of diligence is the wisdom of action that is completely separated by the perfection of diligence. Therefore, it should be connected to the Bhagavan Tathagata, who is adorned with such unique and incomparable precious qualities, saying these verses. Saying this is also to completely avoid disrespect for the wisdom spoken by the verses. If it is not like that, if it is spoken by others, it will be suspected of being a wrong statement, and thus become distrustful. Again, if asked what the Bhagavan taught and said these verses, then again, he taught this Prajnaparamita, and at that time he said these verses. Those that were previously explained in detail are the meaning of the word "those themselves." It is the combination of wisdom, which thoroughly distinguishes the Dharma. That other shore, in the stage of aspiring conduct, is the conviction that all dharmas are without self. In the stage of great joy and so on, it is also free from all discriminations. Therefore, those who have become the nature of such an other shore are the Prajnaparamita. Saying those, means proclaiming the separation from the discrimination of persons and so on. Since the Prajnaparamita possessed in the stage of aspiring conduct is the nature of discrimination, as soon as the verses are heard, the continuum of the beings to be tamed will arise in accordance with reason.

Is it not the case that one who is born is well shown to those who have birth? The supramundane is not like that, because it is the nature of being beyond conceptualization, and also because it does not arise immediately upon hearing. If it were not so, then meditation would become meaningless. If, immediately after hearing, wisdom free from error arises, then meditation does not increase the meaning even slightly. If merely by hearing one sees the meaning, then meditation becomes meaningless, as it is said. How then can it be said that this Perfection of Wisdom is taught without any difference? It is indeed so, because believing in selflessness arises without any distinction in the states of the supramundane and the other. Thus, even for those yogis who have realized the supramundane ground, when they arise, the mind of conceptualization arises only with the understanding that this very reality is just as the Blessed One has said, without realizing that hearing and realization are different. Therefore, relying on the entry of such conceptualization, there is no contradiction in well showing the unsurpassed wisdom from the perspective of terminology. The wisdom that dispels the faults of conceptualization, in truth, arises only from the power of meditation, so meditation is not without fruit either. For those who possess a mind that has fully cultivated previous habits, the wisdom of non-conceptualization arises immediately upon hearing the teaching of the Perfection of Wisdom, so that teaching does not actually contradict it, just as it is said that when this teaching of the Perfection of Wisdom was taught, sixty thousand Bodhisattvas attained the tolerance of non-arising phenomena, and so on. Furthermore, why teach this which has already been extensively taught before? He taught, "Those four assemblies," and so on. "Those" refers to those who were previously made from the perspective of teaching selflessness, not because others are not feasible. "Those four assemblies" are monks, nuns, laymen, and laywomen, and with just these, the beings to be tamed...

It is for the sake of complete collection. Or, being endowed with the higher discipline of morality taught by the Blessed One in the direction of renunciation, or having taken vows such as going for refuge to the Three Jewels as a layman, in the direction of household life, with unparalleled skill, subduing those who closely use objects such as form, since it is not permissible to gradually accomplish what has not been heard by the Blessed One and thought about, and since it is not other, it is not necessary to say more. The term "making truly joyful" is a synonym for making all those who are devoted to the condensed teaching rejoice. In another way, whatever meaning is taught by so many extensive scriptures by seeing that very reality, now the Blessed One says that it is well taught by a few verses. Those who, having realized their own power, are endowed with respectful minds, whatever joy there is, that is true joy, this is a worldly person who is in the stage of practice by faith. Those who are beyond the world, through the gate of wisdom briefly explained, abandoning the obvious attachment to the vast scriptures, those who are endowed with a mind focused on the meaning, following a few words, meditating that all beings are without self, they will be endowed with great joy and so on. Therefore, this word means that the Perfection of Wisdom should be spoken. Making it clear is actually necessary. True joy, superior and unsurpassed, is indirect. The connection of their means and the nature of what is to be accomplished by the means should be understood as being indirectly indicated by the taking of verses. Also, what should be spoken here is the Perfection of Wisdom, not something else, how is this known, and what are those verses? It is said that joy, respect, and supreme faith, and so on. Joy is joy in the sacred Dharma. Respect is what is done to those who speak the Dharma and so on. Faith is manifest belief in the fruit of listening to the Great Vehicle and so on, that is, at that time.
