enters. However, due to the encouragement of the Tathagatas, the ultimate limit is not actually manifested. The so-called "abandoning manifest attachment to all dharmas" refers to the subtle attachment to kings, etc., as mentioned earlier. Even that subtle attachment is abandoned starting from this ground. However, the accumulation of merit is not yet complete. Some others believe that manifest attachment is abandoned relative to the lower grounds, but they believe that subtle attachment exists up to the tenth ground. The so-called "attaining enlightenment through the power of the perfection of aspiration," here enlightenment refers to manifesting complete Buddhahood in the form of the Rupakaya. Attaining it is because the accumulation is not complete, so one cannot manifest complete enlightenment in the Dharmakaya. However, manifesting complete Buddhahood in the Rupakaya through the power of those to be tamed is made possible by the power of aspiration. As it is said in the intermediate Mother Sutra: "Shariputra, in this way, Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas abide in the six perfections, manifest bodies like those of the Buddhas, and go to as many Buddhafields as there are grains of sand in the Ganges River in the eastern direction, teaching the Dharma to sentient beings, and so on." Then, how should we interpret the statement in the Noble Ten Grounds Sutra that "starting from the tenth ground, one manifests complete Buddhahood through the power of aspiration, in the sequence of descending from Tushita, and so on"? At that time, the ninth ground shows the application of attaining Buddhahood in extremely many realms, thus it is shown to be different from the lower grounds. The statement "having arranged various Buddhafields to be completely pure" means that the fields are actually the appearance of wisdom in the ultimate sense. Therefore, it is also said in the Noble Vimalakirti Sutra: "Those who wish to enjoy the Buddhafields should purify their own minds completely." Here, it is also said to be through the power of the perfection of wisdom. Such activities at the limit of the nature of the ten grounds, such as being bound by one lifetime, etc., are explained clearly. Then, with regard to the special path of meditation, it is the characteristic of the Dharma that leads to all enlightenment.

It speaks of "the limbs of enlightenment" and so on. All enlightenments refer to all the enlightenments of the Hearers, Solitary Buddhas, and the Great Vehicle. The characteristics of the Dharma that lead to them are as follows: the seven precious limbs of enlightenment, which were previously explained in the section on aspects. Moreover, those are the path of seeing, and the path of seeing is what was previously taught as the path of seeing that accomplishes great enlightenment, so they are established as leading to all enlightenments. The connection with actions and results is the conventional truth. It is not wasted because the complete enlightenment manifested in a single moment generates completely pure wisdom. It is not because one practices austerities for many eons and then cuts off one's own stream of wisdom. Therefore, these were spoken to refute the views of those who say that the wisdom of the Buddha's realm does not even exist in the conventional. "All things" refers to the conventional truths. "Realizing things as they are" refers to the nature of not apprehending them as different from the ultimate truth. As the noble youth Inexhaustible Light said, the two truths are shown to be inseparable. "All perversions" refers, in short, to the perverted understanding of the two truths. Abandoning them is the power of not apprehending the two truths as previously stated. Therefore, this is explaining the result of the former. In this way, abandoning perversion is not abandoning something that exists, so abandoning perversion is called wisdom without a basis. Since there is not even a subtle perversion in things from the beginning, one merely knows how things abide in their own nature. Therefore, it was said before: "There is nothing to be removed here, There is nothing to be added. To see reality as reality, Seeing reality is liberation." Furthermore, in the Great Vehicle Sutra called "The Noble Sutra of the Complete Purification of Karmic Obscurations," it also says: "These realms are empty, without poison, All objects of attachment to things are unattainable." And so on. This meaning should be widely understood from the Great Vehicle Sutra called "The Noble Manjushri's Oral Instructions." Thus it is taught.
