Those possessors of 'I' who are self-conceited, arise with the arrogance of 'I am' without examining the self-nature of 'I'. Others are those that arise from time, are emanated by the holder, or necessarily arise, such as: Isvara (自在,divinity) and the giver, time and the master, the author and the non-author, yoga and pramana ( प्रमाण ,means of valid cognition), purity and impurity, the inner 'I' and the purusha ( पुरुष ,person), the pervading lord and life, the individual and consciousness, the alaya and the knower, the seer and the seen, the grasper and the grasped, knowledge and the known, the knowable and the force-born, the force-particle and the speakable, the speaker and the unspeakable, and so on. Secret Lord, yogis, in order to seek liberation, will first examine such differences in self-nature as mine, as it is said. This is in order to realize without distinction both mundane and supramundane dharmas, therefore the third 'without characteristics' is spoken. Characteristics are the unique self-nature of dharmas, such as thinness and cold, awareness and matter, and so on, each complete self-nature. Because without it, one cannot bear the power of reason in ultimate truth, it is said to be 'without'. But it is not non-existent like a rabbit's horn, because if one does not examine, those delightful self-natures, like illusions, their respective self-natures are obvious. Like this, those characteristics that are without characteristics, also like different bases of characteristics, such as thinness and heat, etc., exist only in the separation from their respective existing characteristics, so understand. Because ultimate truth is the common characteristic of all dharmas. Therefore, in order not to think like this, the fourth 'characteristic of non-duality' is spoken. The emptiness of form and the emptiness of feeling, etc., whatever those are, are non-dual and indivisible, realizing that they are not independent but inseparable, that is its meaning. After 'realization' four times, 'all dharmas' are shown, because each of those realizations includes all defiled and purified things.

Similarly, mentioning "the characteristic of a single moment" also serves to show that all four of those realizations are manifestly realized in a single moment of distinctive wisdom. Likewise, in "manifestly and perfectly awakened," "sam" indicates the meaning of perfection, as in the statement "all dharmas." Thereafter is manifest awakening, meaning to manifestly realize. Here it is said that Bodhisattvas, over many eons, have become accustomed to knowing all phenomena of relative truth, without exception, like lotus petals, unmixed, with their own characteristics, and actions or causes, etc. Furthermore, they have long been accustomed to the nature of those phenomena, the dharmata free from elaboration, and through the power of that ultimate familiarity, when this realization arises, it simultaneously makes the two truths, relative truth and ultimate truth, objects of wisdom, and makes those that appear contradictory not contradictory, because the nature of the object itself exists in that way. As it is said: "If that is realized, Because its nature is manifest, Why do the unwise not realize Such a thing of things?" "It is not that the beginningless continuum is heavy, By the power of superimposition on things, Therefore, all sentient beings Cannot manifestly transform." "For those who cut off superimposition, By the intellect that practices wisdom, Following that inference, one can know, The yogic powers are manifestly clear." Starting from this point, those whose minds are disturbed by the poison of attachment to things, born in beginningless existence, cannot fully comprehend the various aspects of things through mere manifest realization. Just as the appearance of mind cannot realize the moment by observing similarities, passing from one to another. And starting from there, this that conceals the aspect of superimposition on things is called emptiness. Because emptiness is the essence obscured by the aspect of superimposition, children cannot ascertain while grasping the nature of things, therefore, although grasped, it is like not grasped because it is impossible to establish terminology, this is
